190's

Just wonderin how many of you boys use 190 tires ????

My perfered choice would be a Michelin pilot 180 but cant seem to get to many seconds from the local dealers in my area at the min

Does it make much of a differnce using a 190 tire were it should be 180

Bike doesnt seem to handle as well with a 190 for sitdown O's and straight line stuff and seems to want to fall in on standup O's

Re: 190's

190 is only 10 mm wider but the shape is a little different on some that i have seen. Bikes with 190 often have a half inch wider rim so you might be pinching the tyre a bit

Re: 190's

They do slightly pull the tyre so its got a thinner flat area

Re: 190's

I used a 190 at the Santa Pod comp, and loved it. Felt perfect.
Didnt feel any different to a good 180.
But...
A few weeks ago, I couldnt for the life of me get a different 190 on my rim, even with the old boy helping me. Was really solid

Re: 190's

I'd rather a 180 but i've ran 190's before. Its not the size i find changes the feel, but the make and model of the tyre. I've ran full on race speck tyres and hated it for the first hour. Then i loved it, best tyre i ever had. Tipped into circles great. But if you can use them everytime then i'd just stick to road speck tyres as they take so long to get used to.

As for the fronts, get the best of the best if your doing big stoppies. I can get another 10-20-30 plus feet after putting a new front on.

Not as good as big top brands but if you cant afford them then theses tyres seem ok for the money.
I could be wrong tho!?

Understand that could come very.

I have a shop down the road who keeps good 180 tyres for me plus got tyre changer at my other work shop.
