Re: 600rr over heating

some times no thermostat is worse then having one , the thermostat restricts the flow of coolant so it has time to transfer heat ...

if the coolant is moving too fast it doesnt have enough time to transfer the heat from the motor to the radiator and it doesnt stay in the radiator long enough to cool the heat it does have

Re: 600rr over heating

dont be surprised if that bike stays in the 220 f range. 07 s have a significantly larger rad then 06s

but these ******* still get hot as hell. check everything that everyone mention they are all common mistakes. but i recommend a full flush and put in engine ice. Also hook ur fan up to work with a switch. This way if your at a lot you can turn it on all the time to keep the bike running cool. I did the engine ice thing and it works miracles. I just have to do the fan thing now.

Re: 600rr over heating

hondas overheat more than others (imo) i would stick the thermo back in, check the fan is pulling the air through the rad and not trying to push it, and also go for a twin fan setup.
Thats how i used to run the old mothership (929)
