Ordering parts from the states?
Im ordering an exhaust from the states but if I get hit with the extra 18% when it comes into the UK then it makes it rather expensive.
When you guys order from the USA is their any way to minimise the tax hit?

Im in the same situation, alot of companies no longer what to label customs with gift or sample. As they can be hit with a large penalty if caught.
Not heard of the warranty return one tho... something to try.
But sometimes customs open up your parcel, so make sure you tell the other end not to include an invoice or receipt!

Re: Ordering parts from the states?
- Get the invoice posted seperate
- Open the items in the box to look used.
- Make the parcel out to "ants... wooden engineering services"
- post the parcel as Warranty returns

Warranty return is the best way =P
I been raped by customs a few times recently. Due to sellers not listening to me.
Moving on, what exhaust you need ant?

Re: Ordering parts from the states?
Its a belly exhaust for my fireblade called Taylormade, made in the USA. I figure this one has a better chance of survival if the bike crashes.
My stock exhaust was looking patchy so I bought some high temp resin and covered it in carbonfibre. Unfortunately it not high temp enough and it lets off toxic smoke when the bike stops. ant... upto his old tricks again, hey!
