Hanksy, you mean you wouldnt pay for your own way there with bike, accomadation, fuel, all your hours practicing, the risk of blowing your motor, or injuring yourself, changing tyres, for free??? You selfish bastard!!!

Billy would of paid for you all to go... do it!

They must be muppets thinking you'll just turn up and risk injury and damage for free I watched every show you guys did last year and every one was awesome. I spoke to loads of people who really enjoyed the show and brought some friends of mine down who arnt into stunting but loved it. Great atmosphere.

I was there this year and they didnt have anything on outside Bushey's at all (I saw one guy did a static burnout on a Fazer 600 then do one that was it)

No stunt show, no jet quad, no drift cars no-one allowed to **** about **** all it was *****.

Racing was awesome though as usual

Re: Isle of man TT 09

The racing has been awesome, michael dunlop on wet roads showing the dunlop heritageNo stunting this year due to main sponsor cutting back on financial commitment outside the racing. However straightliners did offer to pay for the SFD to go out of their own pockets and do some demo shows at various events around the island but it was just to short notice for most of us.

To set the the record straight nobody was asked to do shows for free straightliners were frustrated with things and budgets out of their control they did everything possible to try and make it happen, What trevor did was offer to pay for all of our travel and accomodation expences and we could do some demo's at places like ramsey sprint ect for those of us who still wanted to go.

We have to maintain the bikes, popping tyres alnite kills the bike and we would still be out of pocket with straightliners just paying for that travel and accomodation, granted its not straightliners fault and ive never said it was, the tourist board still wanted us to stunt for free coz they werent gona pay us. If the straightliners deal was good we would have gone reguardless of short notice

Re: Isle of man TT 09

at least get the costs covered, this costs a lot of money and requires a lot of dedication and training and for live shows it carries a lot of responsibility, it has value allright, hell yeh

You have been told wrong the tourist board did not want you to stunt for free they didn't want any stunters this year full stop. and trust me i could not have gone at a months notice whatever the deal was work commitmants have to come first for me i'm affraid.

Re: Isle of man TT 09

Like T Rex says, the lack of Stunt Show was all down to the Tourist Board, i think they are single handedly trying to kill all fun at the TT, miserable old sods!

The only person who came close to any serious injury was Ash and that was not at Douglas, though some may have injured their pride, lol.

The Jet Quad was sent away last year but he didn't knock anyone down as such, he turned close to the pit barrier and blew it down and unfortunately Shaun's dad was stood behind it at the time, lol...sorry for laughing!

Whilst most people moan about being unpaid, as amateur riders who are not regularly booked for shows, how can you complain about being given free travel and accommodation to the TT including an evening meal....it would cost a fortune if you paid for it yourself. You also got to perform for fun outside Bushy's, something most people would love to have the chance to do and you had time to yourself most days to ride round or sleep off the party from the night before, lol. As far as i could see you all had a ball!

Whilst i understand most of you wouldn't dream of riding for free and i am not knocking you whatever your choice...i can tell you that some guys i know have got their name out there from doing just that in the beginning!

At least you enjoy a sport that you ocassionally get paid to do, many of us have expensive hobbies with no chance of financial support!

Right i'm expecting some verbal for this so form an orderly queue, lol
