Re: problem with bike

When its running, check that the coolant hoses feel hard - indicating that the system is actually pressuring itself. If nothings circulating, she's gonna boil up. If that's the case, may be worth looking at the water pump.

Re: problem with bike

fan on all the time...... did you wire it up the right way? as in is it pulling the air through the rad and not trying to push it through? get a plastic bag and hold it to the rad, if the bag sticks to the rad then thats the right way.
do this and let me know, i will try n think of other things that could go wrong

Re: problem with bike

don't even know if it is possible but it is on some cars , is your thermostat facing in the right direction ?

did you get all the air out of your cooling system ?

does your cap hold the correct amount of pressure ?

do you run an over flow bottle ?

Re: problem with bike

i have come accross this problem a few times
it is more likely to be the rad cap not holding any pressure as water boils around 100 degress it needs the seal on the rad cap to creat more pressure for a higher boiling point. try this if i dont work then get a jerry can of unleaded and a match

Re: problem with bike

make shure there is no air in the system. Even a little bit will cause cooling problems. There should be a perge valuve near the lower radiator hose.

Yeah, but what if you get a 'over helpful guy' who asks what part your after.
Then you make up a rare as **** part on a rare as **** car, and he just happens to have one out back, an it ends up costing you 200 notes
