Need some advice please
Need some advice please
I'm going to view this next weekend (if the guy responds to my e-mail) and just wanted to know what I should look out for?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...id=p2759.l1259
Do the RR's have any known faults or things that can go wrong if not maintianed well? I know Yorkie has had real problems with his as a stunt bike, but this is gonna be my roadbike, so shouldn't have much go wrong with it hopefully.
looks alright imo,but tbh i know nothing about them.
only thing that worries me if he'sbolted a load of tack to it, and the different paint job makes me wonder whether its been dropped/abused. (ironic eh)
cheers dudes.

Re: Need some advice please
Why you selling the f4i if you getting this as a road bike?
is your mate with the 6rr still selling it? he came to the spot one time... he wanted £3k for it and it looked fairly minty.... that one seems really expensive for a resprayed up one

Re: Need some advice please
Yorkie stunts a 05 600rr and he says it can't stand the pace, im sure he said its had 5 engines and a couple of frames/welded. He mostly uses the f4i.
600RR is my fav supersport though.

Yeah, I'm oddly drawn to the colour though. I saw it and was like "I want it!"
May have to let the auction run and if he doesn't get any offers it might be a good bargaining tool to knock some £££ off.

Re: Need some advice please
Although this wont help you Dave, but I'm drawn to the paint too.
The first pic, with no mirrors would look evil!
But that red bar ends and bits (bar tyre stripes) should knock price down too.

Re: Need some advice please
i too think the colour is cool but bike looks a bit suspicious in the pics a couple of bolts are missing holding fairing on and no heel guard on the left peg prob just been thrown back together for the pics
Re: Need some advice please
about a year ago i had many a email back and forth with teach and beleive me he has broke just about every part of the 600rr and not just once, i would be very scared, might even sell mine yet
Re: Need some advice please
Don't take any offence to this question, but how do you ride your bike?
Areyouthrowing it into the ground veryoften and bouncing it off the limiter doing burnouts, merry go round etc?
I'mquite gentle when i ridemybike, but I have the occasional good hit. (ask anyone whorode with us sunday) so I'm hoping to have better luck with an rr than you did.
Was it five engines you did? I would have sold it after two.

Re: Need some advice please
I think the tihng people miss out on and don't take into account, is learning...
Ash, not meaning to offend, but you had the RR when you "started out" whereas dave has been riding on an f4i for ages and can do most tricks now without falling off, so he'd probably be able to stunt a brand new RR without destroying it straight away.
People buy new bikes when they are learning and wonder why they get wrecked so quick.
F4i's are almost indestructable though!!
Personally, as much as I want a new bike, I'd probably just wreck it
so im sticking with the f4-indestructable. :YEAH
