LCD TVs & NTSC DVDs

LCD TVs & NTSC DVDs
I thought some of you might like to know this...
LCD TVs are all, from the info I can find, able to play NTSC/Region 1 DVDs, even if the blurb that accompanies the TV doesn't actually say it will.
But, I've yet to find any domestic LCD TVs that will play interlaced NTSC. Progessive scan, which all Hollywood-type films are, isn't a problem at all, but you can forget interlaced stuff - and that's 99% of US stunt DVDs.
So, be warned. Spend £1000 on a state-of-the-art TV for a superb picture and incredible sound; full HD compatability and the ability to plug your PC/X-Box into it; but don't be surprised if you can't watch any of your US stunt DVDs on it.
