Best stunt bike for beginners

Can anyone tell me which is the best bike for beginners F4i or Kwack 636 and which year is best ?.

I currently have an old nail of a Honda CBR 600,1989 model for learning on. Its good but it's a bit tired and I'm after something newer that is still road registered. I'll be buying a damaged repairable as I'm not that arsed about fairings etc as long as its straight and I can get it sorted.

I'm selling my 04 R1 as I've been bitten by the stunt bug big time so anyone who's after one e-mail me.

Thanks

Clunatic:YEAH

Re: Best stunt bike for beginners

I spoke to Birdie about the 636 05 or 06 that he's just bought, and i explaned that they are not a good bike to learn on. When your learning you will brake things and do a lot of damage. I know the 636's are good stunt bikes, but only if you are above average stunter ie: bp wheelies and trottle control, scarping at will.
They have weak wheels, pegs, sub frames and fairings.

Best bikes to learn on are fuel injected bikes that are a few years old so parts are easy to find and cheaper. f4i's are good bikes or even CB500's.

Or my stunt ready gsxr 600 with **** loads of spares

I'm not trying to put you off or get you to buy my bike, but only now (after 2 years of stunting and bin able to do circles and idle tricks) am i looking for a 05-06 636 to stunt, and i'm still worried i'm gona brake it.

F4I all the way

i remember wanting to sell mine when i started to stunt and Lee was like why....?
as they are the bench mark bike....
my todo list is still pretty long and i need the hondas strength as i ride and stunt .... ie no van..
mine has put up with soooooo much ahem... educational discipline.....
plus... i like the f4i's looks

but any bike can be made / modded to be stronger.... longer ...and softer...

Re: Best stunt bike for beginners

neither

a crf50 or ttr50

teaches you everything you need to learn about brake and throttle control then jump on the big bike

something like this would suit you fine. and save you 1000's

totally agree.
Or though id say a chinese pit bike as it has a clutch.
If it wasnt for pitbikes id of smashed this cbr to pieces (or i wouldnt even have one)
I jumped on to the cbr, and towards end of day i was doing good high wheelies but just with throttle chop.

Id say f4i and a pitbike:YEAH

Whatever you can buy and fix cheap is the best choice, good luck finding an F Sport for less than £2k

Re: Best stunt bike for beginners

What's up with the R6's? are they just too weak - I've got an '03 as a shiney road bike (I don't really stunt it..too much) and it feels real nice and light compared to the F4i

but +1 on the pit bike - when I was learning the fine tuning of back brake it helped loads - also learnt a lesson about not changin gear whilst at BP on my pit bike that would have really fukin hurt on the CBR. it might be small but still wear ur gear.

Or buy my stunt ready gsxr

Buy an f4i and you'll need bigger gearing, oil pick up, cage, 12 bar or round bar, tip over switch, the lot.

Mine has all that and more for £1800
