Heyup - Time For Change

Well after all this time, i have only just noticed that this little category exists for UK peeps! Doh!

Just thought i would say heyup everyone.

Just looking for some sound advice...
The time has come to look for something a little more practical for stunt ridin' and taking things to the next level.
The ZXR has served its purpose but now being a little outdated and heavy.
And my VTR's are just too impractical.

So i need something new to ride and mess about on.
Can't decide between a F4i or 929 or would you recommend something else?
Anywhere in the UK i can get trick parts from or do i have to import from the US?
Hope to meet up with some of you if your anywhere down south.

Take it easy chaps... and thanks...

Re: Heyup - Time For Change

hi m8 welcome to the forum
id go for an f4i unless you ride motorway wheelies all the time then go for the 929
and you have to import a fair amount but you can make a few bits

Re: Heyup - Time For Change

Cheers for the welcome chaps.
Mess about more around town than long distance wheelies on the motorway, so a F4i would make good sense.
But being use to litre bikes i tend to like the power and the odd wheelie on the motorway so im a little stuck on deciding.
Thought i might have to import a few things, cheers.

F4I mate. you can still ride fast wheelies when needed even with bigger gearing.

You ever get into london and down the ace cafe?

Re: Heyup - Time For Change

Cheers for the replies chaps.
Always thought i would stay clear from the 636 as things can be a little expensive when dropped.
Always plenty of spares about for the Honda's and cheap enough!
And with the VTR seems a little pointless to have another near litre bike, so looks like a F4i it will be.

Ludo, im sometimes bombing around M23 area, Not been to Ace in a while now, about time i got my **** up there!

Would be great to meet up with a few peeps.

Take it easy.

Yo, I've got a fully set up 929 4sale. It's going because my license is toast and I could'nt get on with it learning circles in my lil practice spot.
I've thrown a lot of cash at it, it's got the best handbrake setup in existance, plus all the usual stuff; cage, 12bar, geared +10, PowerCommander, shaped tank, braced rear pegs.
I crashed it on the road a while back, bent the silencer and cracked up the top fairing and tank, but frame, forks, wheels, bars n motor are untouched so with new bodywork it could be on ebay as a low miler, one careful owner.(also have a spare engine w/10k miles on) all good.

send me a PM if you're interested.

Re: Heyup - Time For Change

Those points are adding up, few old sp30's and a Court app later this month don't look good.
I'm going 600 like all you other Girlies because carparks may be wher I'm staying for a while. 929 is too much fun on bypass, its got 2 go.

Cops know my plate round this Shire (small town and lots of grassers don't mix with stunting). I' need priv plate or new bike. I've found the joy of stoppies and its easy for concerned citizens 2 scribble down my reg number in their little bizzyboddy notebooks at the lights. Came home twice to find cop car waiting on my driveway.

Re: Heyup - Time For Change

Sorry to hear it Carbo, know how you feel with the small town bit.
I had to behave in my home town and mess about out of town.

Small plate fixed near your shock helps.

On a serious note, hope all goes well.
