Best All Around Stunt Quad - Poll

Re: Best All Around Stunt Quad - Poll
Out of the quads posted Z400 has got to be the best choice, however i hate the way they look + the grab bar is a part of the subframe. I ride Arctic Cat DVX400, and it is a Z underneeth, but the grab bar is removable which allows of easy installation of a 12 bar and plastics are easyer to remove and it overall looks better...
I've ridden YZF450's or should i say, i've stunted one, the quad isn't that bad, but it has issues like for example the pipe gets glowing red hot or that in order to adjust the idle the handbook it recommends to see the dealer. But it has a nice long wheelbase and the ballance window is pretty big compared to 400s, so if for what i described earlier it would make a good stunting quad.
I've also ridden Polaris's Predator 500, thought it sucked, grab bar isn't removable, and it dont run good high up, also it has a short powerband.
Also ridden a 660 Raptor, the machine has loads of power everywhere (seriously, shift in fifth, rev it out and dump the clutch and you flip over...), tall gears, nice ballance window, but it is easy to flip if you are not carefull, too much power and thus you create too much wear and tear on the machine by clutching it.
Lastly, I have ridden 400EXs and i dont see what people see in them, horrible quads. They run too lean on the bottom, and since it's honda they run too rich on top so your engine wont go. They stall, and are somewhat nonreliable and their grab bars are not removable so it is problematic to put the 12 bars on them. They run bad high up and stall a lot.

Re: Best All Around Stunt Quad - Poll
Well i stunt a 89 Warrior.. Not junk, but very close! Just has a problem with the carbs loadin up. Other then that balance point is killer! I've ridin a 400ex before and it definetly has some good qualities. So right now I'm lookin for somethin new. I looked at Raptors, 400ex's, and the z400.. If anyone has an opinion on which one is better, PLEASE let me know!! Thanks alot. Oh yeah, if anyones lookin for a cheap quad in the area(NJ,NY,PA) I'm sellin the warrior. $1000 bucks takes and it has a ton of new parts. No problems, Runs perfect!!

Re: Best All Around Stunt Quad - Poll
I've got 2 Yami 450's and have ridden many others. I think the 400ex is prolly the easiest to stunt, but I have no problems rollin mine for days. If it dies on the bar you have to shut the gas off if you leave it there, otherwise gas pours from the float bowl drain, but it will run on the bar forever and isn't hard to find the bp once you're on it for a few mins. But definitely make a new bar

did you break the aluminum sub frame yet? mine broke the first day i got it. thats the only thing i don't like about it. other than that its great for stunts.
