Looking at getting a new quad..

I've got a z250 right now and i really love it. Stunt it all over the place. But, I think were gonna pick up a second one now. I was looking at either a z400 or a ex400. Wondered what you guys prefered, which is the better machine? Which is better for stunting? Pro's and con's for either. Right now i'm leaning towards the z400 but Honda makes good stuff so i'm still considering the ex400.

Let me know what you guys think, Jon

ok so heres what everyone on here says 400ex is more reliable and wont brake as much but a z400 is liquid cooled has more power and has reverse thats what most people usually say. But there both good stunt quads from what i have seen.

I would love my 250 if it had a manual clutch.

Not this thread again....

All the EX riders are gonna tell you to go with the EX and all the Z riders are gonna tell you to go with the Z.

Go with the EX.

I don't know why you want a manual clutch? You have a handbrake instead, plus it will come up in 3rd gear without the clutch... i like mine. I think i'm gonna look at the z mainly cause i already have the 250 and i have been pleased with it. I also like having reverse as this is not a strickly race quad.

Re: Looking at getting a new quad..

Well i went and looked at quads today. I really like the z400 but I didn't realize how much they cost $6700! I was at the polaris dealer and they have the 2004 Predator 500's going for $6100 with a $450 rebate. Anyone tried to stunt one of these things? They have a pretty short wheelbase so I think they would be prety decent.

Re: Looking at getting a new quad..

I have a ttr 125L dirtbike. But the place we off road now is 99% sand or mud and the dirtbike kinda sucks in it. I was thinking about getting paddle tires, but ya can't really stunt in the sand. And i'm not gonna put street tires on it cause I bought it for off road stuff, if i wanna ride street i have my F3. Right now i'm going to look into the predators more. They look sweet and I might have a hook up on them. I still would like a z400, but i just don't wanna spend that much. Maybe if i can find a used one in good shape though.

I have a 2002 Raptor, I can stunt it just fine. High balance point, never tried any other quads though.
