Street Tire questions... Please HELP!!!!

Okay... I'm tired of racking my brain over this ****. Here's what I want to know......

Where can I find street tires for my stock 9x8 rims? I want to know euro sizes and american sizes that will fit that rim. Also include the front sizes too please. Any sites to order from would be helpful, but please keep in mind that I don't speak German! I've been searching for weeks now and can only find German or Euro sites with sizes I don't understand, prices that are in a different currency, and a description of the tire in a different language.

I'd also like a lesson on rim sizes and tires sizes for idiots. Like what the hell does 9 referr to in the rim size 9x8? I know the Dirty Jerzey boyz are running some nice meats... WHERE'D YOU GET EM????

Guys... please help me out. I'm chewing the hell outta my new ITP's stunting on pavement. I need some street meats!

Whatever happened to supporting your fellow stunter?

9x8 reffers to a 9 inch rim diameter and 8 inches wide. You can run tires that are thinner or wider but not smaller or bigger in the rim size. If you want me to help you find find some street tires let me know I know where to look and it's not all that hard......

Yeah. Imagine what would happen if some radials fell into the wrong hands!

Do a search on google for specialty tires and start looking for the numbers 20X10-10 which is a tire that is 20 inches tall, 10 inches wide and fits on a 10 inch rim. The tires you want are going to be made for a golf cart, or a trailer. I'm not saying they don't make a radial for a 9 inch rim, but the common sizes jump from 8 to 9.5 then to 10. So your best bet is to get some 10" rims if you plan on running them on the front. as 8" rims probably wouldnt clear your brakes.

If I end up picking some up, I'll give you all the info I have on them.

Dude... that's not cool. Thanks anyway.

Yeah... looking into the mule tires.... may end up just getting the cheapest smallest knobby tires I can find and burn the hell outta em. They'll become slicks soon enough

Thanks, Drew

Re: Street Tire questions... Please HELP!!!!

If your gonna grind off knobbies buy some used ones....
Check ebay and bluetraxx and exriders for tires with barely any tread. Could probably get them for like 30 bucks.

I'll sell you a set of super cool ice racing tires with worn out studs. Only you though I can't let these things go to just anyone.

Yeah... wouldn't wanna help the sport grow or anything. I'm glad you realize that by feeling that way, you'll be on top of the sport forever and nobody will knock you off your high horse!

Re: Street Tire questions... Please HELP!!!!

have you tried trailer tires?
I think some 4lugger patterns fit on the Z's and EX's (4X110) and come in the sizes you would need. Plus, they are made for carrying pretty good weight for their size, so side wheelies would be a little easier to do... maybee. I'll let ya know. I am going to put a set on mine either tomorrow or this weekend.. AFTER I fix my bars...I flipped it this weekend, and my bars are "lowered" now...

Re: Street Tire questions... Please HELP!!!!

Thanks for the advice and tips fellaz, but I've already ordered a set of Turf Tamers for the street. They're soft rubber so I'll hook up well, and they're only 4ply so I should be able to turn in a wheelie much better. Should be here tomorrow.... I'll post pics this weekend.

Re: Street Tire questions... Please HELP!!!!

I am running turf tamers right now but I am running the wide ones.... 11 inches I think. I hate them for wheelies. I can't run them with low pressure cause they are just to wide. Hopefully you got the 8.5'' ones I think it is..
