more problems

My 400 ex has recently not been shifting nicely. When i am in second gear and i come to a stop and i have to put a lot of force on the shifter to get back into second. It isnt good for it but its all i could do. Do i need to oil something or what? And i wasnt watching my friend and he decided to fill a clutch resovoir or something with clutch fluid. (dont know) and now when i hold the clutch all the way in in any gear that quad starts to roll. And if im not moving it will stall. what is happening?

Re: more problems

If the clutch was going out, wouldn't it be the opposite? If the clutch was going out, I would think it would still be able to sit still in gear. Sounds to me like the clutch cable might be out of adjustment. Just a thought, I'm new to this ATV stuff.

Re: more problems

Could be a number of things but they all relate to the clutch. Your clutch could be slipping because it is worn and dropping out of gear. Could be the cable, shifting forks......ect...

Hopefully you learned a lesson from this never let your friends touch your ****.
