Really can't see how they could go in backwards..... One side is basically a screw and the other side is a hex head with a grind down the middle to create a edge.

I have about half an inch of ***** int he front and 1/4" of ***** in the back.

So i'm worried about finding a screw that won't go through the back

They "can" go through the tire the problem is if you go through the tire you can't use it without the studs in it unless you tube it. But you will be fine if you puncture the tire wire the screws as long as they stay in the tire.

Jimmah,
next time pick up your dirty socks b4 snappin a pic!
J/k Nice tires, btw
I'm thinkin of studdin' mine, but i m also worried (blinginR6) that they are too bald... what about snomobile pics, with tubes...anyone try that, and if so, how's it work?!?
p.s.- gotta get me a dig camcorder...there was a guy on his quad(a new 650 twin kitty kat, i think) doin' 4wd donuts on the ice! Thats crazy! the inside tires balloon out and he's goin like twenty sittin still....he must have been dizzy!

You can do that but you need to lay carpet down inside the tire so that the picks don't puncture the tube. Where I lay my dirty socks is no concern of yours!

I thought you were suposto put the screw sticking out, i always worried about it comming out but i dont know, if you watch much X-games you see that on the Winter Big Air they stud them with the screws sticking out. And i wouldnt want a quarter inch of screw poking away at my tube .

heres what im doing... i got my tires studded.. so now ill just buy a new set of tires... which i needed/wanted anyways and keep this set studded...to much a pain to take studs in and out anyways... and yes xidium you can put "picks" in which basically are bolts that use nuts to hold them onto the tires, and these go all the way through the tire...
