Hazen is a decent person
I was on the phone for 2 days with DMV, DOT, and inspection stations here in VT. Was going to make my 02 400EX street legal. VT state law changed in 03 so that you can never register an "off road" vehicle for the street. Even if you modify it and say it's custom built. In states you can do it you need DOT approved tires, blinkers, right side mirror, spark arrestor, tail light, brake light, hight and low beam, horn, that's all I remember. It would be sick though!

Yeah, they are legal in some states and in Europe. There is also a loophole in MOST states laws that say you can build and register a "3-wheeled" motorcycle. I've seen a Raptor in Cali and a Banshee in NY with this done. They simply made/used a streetbike swingarm in the rear with the wheel and tire, added horn, lights, mirrors, signals, etc. and then get them inspected. It's all pretty easy in theory to do, just depends on your state. I don't see why it's more dangerous than 2 wheels, or a dunebuggy. Another thing to look into: I've seen people take streetbikes and add ATV front and rear ends to them, making them 3-wheeled or 4-wheeled. TECHNICALLY the bike is still a motorcycle, you just modified an existing frame that is register-able... LOL
