Bang my first 12 today

Well I'm usually a air freestyle guy but Tim's Z got me into stunting. I can hit 12s while standing and sitting. My only problem is I don't want to wear the grab bar down and to weld a 12 bar on won't work because of the jumping I do I don't want to throw the bike off any. Does any one know of a bolt on grab bar for a 400EX or has any insight?

why dont you make a scrap bar still? the 400ex has a removable grab bar..take it off for non stunting and put it back on for stuntin

400EX have solid sub frames, no removeable grab bar otherwise i would of already had something rigged up. JD it's kinda hard to do cliff hanger wheelies and ape hanger without scraping don't cha think?

i agree 100% with you........but those are 2 tricks i havent attempted yet cause i dont have a scrape bar and my stock subframe is already at a 90 degree angle.....your only option is to reinforce it or stay away from cliffhangers and apehangers......i dont think reinforcing it will make any difference in the air...but thats just a guess.......good luck and i hope to see some scrape tricks soon....

I built a 12 bar out of two peices of angle iron welded to a flat peice on the back. I drilled four holes in my subframe so I came remove it when I want. I've scraped mine in fourth gear and it hasn't bent my subframe yet. Here ia a pic of it.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna use Bill's setup and adapt it (if I even need to) to the EX subframe. I bent my grab bar and a lil of my sub up yesterday.

that 12 bar is trach man it will snap....i got mine done by a local fab guy down here and it is pretty sick.....it is built down to the frame neraly to the engine....you have to brace it good..the more hoels you put in the subframe the weaker it is.....and it can be made to be remeovable.

I've been riding it for about four months, and I'm on my second 1/4 inch steel plate, so far so good. Maybe I'm just lucky though.
