Re: 2008 trx 700 xx

i think its hideous but i woud like to see it in person, my honda stealership dosn't have one yet.
things i don't like about
1) ugly
2) $$$
3) Don't trust ATV FI yet
4) its ******* heavy as hell
5) gas tank only holds 3 gallons
6) its got reverse... no need IMO, just adds weight
7) gay *** grab bar position

I'd like to take one through the trails and sandpits for a weekend to see how it compares to my 450R. never ridden a quad with IRS, kinda want to see what thats all about... my bet is that it don't even make that much more power than a 450R neways... ateast not enough to offset the 85lb weight increase.

Re: 2008 trx 700 xx

here's my opinion.... and i disagree with you guys ...but I'm not bashing you ...just disagreeing...

First off Ghini....you say you dont trust FI yet , but Isn't your 450R FI ? (i thought they were , but i'm not sure though....but why wouldnt you trust it ? )

as for HONDA.... they are not making any mistakes...they know what's up , wayyy better than any of us ..... IMO , They are targeting TWO markets that are barely tapped into right now.... and Ghini, neither of those markets is the one that your 450 falls into.

I think that the market is flooded with 300EX's, 350 warriors, 400EX's ,450's everywhere now. etc. I think Honda wants the Markets that have died off a little (the honda250 will be the new yam. blaster ...a sporty entry level quad capable of racing).....and the 700 will be the new king of the Hill in the BigBore Class (where Only raptors and KX700's are the only other competators (in volume numbers anyways)(and the KFX is Band driven (clutchless)

I just think you cant compare it to the 450's ....it's not meant to compete in that category of quads

as for looks ....I think it looks OK for the most part... but what do I know...LOL...I stunt a stock 400EX and Stock F4i's , and have a CRF150 (not an R model) and a couple Xr80's So as you see ...i'm not into the "extreme level" vehicles (the race models per say) I'm very content and happy with the Recreational level "sport" models ... you see where i'm comin' from ?

ride on

I'd like to see one up close to figure out that rear suspension, never seen a Honda sportquad with that setup

that 700 will not be king of the hill. I can bet you plenty of money you put a trx 450 beside that 700xx on a hill climb and the 450 will smoke it all day. Not just a trx but a suzuki kawi and yamaha. That 700 will be good for trail riding and maybee mudding. but for racing and for sand and hill climbing it wont compete against s 450. Not even the raptor 700 or the raptor 660 will (STOCK not customized) Now a customized 660 like myne or a 700 can compete with a stock 450. but either way that 700xx weighs too much.

AND Fuel Injection rules!! You can 12 all day long :YEAH

Re: 2008 trx 700 xx

i dont see anything other than a 30k dollar banshee being king of the hill anytime soon other than the raptor 700. www.teamrocketfactory.com is building some crazy stuff for the raptor that is just dominating. I think they have a 907 kit for them.

Re: 2008 trx 700 xx

it looks pretty good to me.. it looks aggressive. I just dont like that IRS. it may ride great but i dont like the fact that i cant put an extended swingarm on there. Hell with my raptor bone stock and starting in 2nd gear i couldnt keep the front end even close to the ground so now that i have modded it i had to have an ext swinger.
