Newbie needs advice!!
Hi everyone.
I am new and have tried the search function but can't find the info I want. If any of you guys can offer me some advice I would appreciate it. Until now I have always been a biker, however the quad look like loads of fun so I am looking to get my hands on one as soon as possible. I am looking for a quad which will wheelie without spitting its oil into the airbox, reliable and easy to maintain. I was looking at the Raptors but have read differing reports on them.
Basically what quad and what engine size would be best for me as a starter.
Many thanks in advance

EX400 (05 or newer...has reverse )
z400's are great too
kfx 400 (kawi) is the same as the Z ....great also
other quads...can ...and have been ....Successfully stunted
BUT those top 3 are the Best Overall for recreational use AND Stuntin
All three above come with a wheelie button (All 3 practically wheelie themselves)

Many thanks for the posts guys.
I have been doing loads of looking around. The Predator still seems the most common here in Europe, especially for a road legal one. (Should have mentioned I wanted to ride it on roads as well, it sure makes going to the shops for the Mrs a lot more fun)
I just wish we had your prices over here!!

400EX is prime, BUT......I have a Predator, and it's bad-*** for wheelies also. If that's what's in your area......don't be shy about getting a Predator.

Re: Newbie needs advice!!
NO quad is streetlegal in NH dumbass, and as far as the braking and weight, id agree to an extent... they are more of a challenge, just like any of the 450's, but what they lack in "light-ness" they make up for in power

Many thanks for all your replies. I spent a couple of months searching around. I looked for a Honda, but I don't think they are street legal over here, I never saw any. So I found a Z400. It's like a new one. It is 1 year old and done just over 400 miles. An old boy owned it. I think he thought it would be like a golf cart. He spent a year running it in, then recently took it for it's first service. As he left the garage he decided to squeeze the throttle for the first time and it reared up in a massive wheelie and scared him half to death so he put it up for sale. Lucky me. I can't find a single mark on it, it is how it was when it left the showroom.
I have managed to wheelie it up in second, I just need to learn gear changes while on the back wheels. There is also a forest at the top of my garden and it is great fun in there.
Anyway thanks again.
