So i picked up a minty 06 Honda TRX450R sat ...rode all day sunday. Never had a quad before but this thing seems just sick. what kind of reputation does it have for stuntin? i didn't buy the quad for stuntin but will be rockin whoolies at every opportunity. in the few hours i put on it through the trails so far i can catch bp pretty good already... can't wait to get on the street and really ride them out. but back to my question, what kind of stunt reputation does the 450R have?

 

I'm sure it'll stunt fine. Dude you just gotta see how it feels and keep riding...

 

my 06 is great, the only time i ride it is to do some wheelies. i have no trails to ride. crank the idle up.

 

cool, yea i noticed that i needed to turn it up when i was tryin some slow stuff waitin for everyone else in the power lines. i was kinda annoyed that it came with an aftermarket aluminum grab bar on the rear, so i gotta be real careful not to touch pavement with it. the brakes are great on it too i was suprised how easy endos are, even in the dirt.

 

yeah idont know if you got the recall notice on yours. but mine wont start, somthign about the starter reduction gear. and yes i broke my aluminum bar the first day

steve, do you have a link or can you scan that notice incase my **** breaks? i won't get a notice because i'm not the original owner of the quad & i bought it from a yamaha stealership.

That kid is pretty nasty, love the ss & flamingo jump to spreader. i gotta get an extra set of rims & tires for the street. didnt look like he got the merc to spreader but still cool ****.

the recall is to prevent it from kicking back and braking some ****, is it stock or does it have the power up kit. im getting my power up kit installed right now it is suposed to bring it to life

 

its stock still. stock is fine for the molment, i'll put the hrc kit in when i get a bounus or raise or somethin. i just want the notice so if my **** breaks i can get it fixed for free. and not have to argue with the stealership about whether or not there was a recall.

 

whats up man i have an 07 trx 450 i stunt mine it is bad *** i just broke my grab bar that bar was weak as hell, but i turn my idle up and adjusted my clutch to the end almost and i rock some sick wheelies on mine, but i havent had no probs yet if you know of any on the 07 hit me up

 

well i've been able to spend some more time on pavement and made some big improvments. havn't even bothered to turn up my idle yet. i just can't get get traction doin highchairs sittin on the bars or standing on the bar infront...kinda pissing me off.
