twist throttle

ive just bought a 97 yama warrior, for my wife and kids to tool around on. and im gonna stunt it, have you guys used twist throttles or just leave the thumb. my buddie metioned the trigger throttle to, new to quads but been stuntin for about 5 years. can you guys give me some pointers of what i may change later down the road . know everyone has personal prefecene but i like all the info i can get. what about bars is there much differencce like dirt bars for big bikes or not much. and ive got a hand brake already set up for the clutch side of the bars, but i noticed you guys dont run them. help please sorry love my hand brake, got good balance but love to cover it when jumpn in combos .

Re: twist throttle

not really much to get, stunt it stock...maybe a custom reinforced wheelie bar, outer than that nothing.....maybe street tires...i like the thumb throttle but ive thinking of switching to a twist, i want to get a bike and i at least want to be a little knowlegeable clutching and gassing it up.....if you are used to the twist, stick with that.....btw warriors are **** quads...

Re: twist throttle

stock is fine.... I had a twist throttle years ago on a quad.... it hurt skills and control more than helped...I'd never do it again....

stock quads are fine for stuntin....and you got a good one ( I had a 96 warrior that I really liked )

As david mentioned.... Do up your rear bar....

i personally have always liked nerfbars (especially if the wifey and kids are gonna ride....huge safety factor )

have fun and post up some pics

4 stroke but i know what yuo mean. i got a stunt bike i pretty much change the motor out once a year. and freshin up the head every 6 months. quad is gettin a new set of cases, so it willl get some t l c from the bottom to the top. got a mechnic real decent gonna do the head vavles, cases for 250 plus my parts cost of 180. hopefully that will help the 97 part of it, i love to change the oil. xcept in my truck haha take better care of my stunt toys . ythanks for all the info
