I dont have a problem with the bike as much as the people that own them. Why does everyone that has one think its the biggest/baddest thing out???? Everywhere I go its like hail to the Raptor 700. Im a humble guy with nothing to prove. I had my dirtbike (CRF250-MX'r) at my cousins party and his friend (with a Raptor 700) rolled up and started running his mouth (he didnt know I stunt rode) so I had to mount up and bust his rear with my wheelie arsenal. Once he quickly realized he lost that category he started yapping his mouth about 'lets go to the track'.... there was one around the corner. I was reluctant at first (I had to get going) but he kept on yapping so I put my gear back on and everybody at the party headed over to the track with us. Again I busted his rear end...guess he didnt know I was a decent racer. After that he wanted to drag race but he wanted to do it on the street (im not going to tear my knobbies up) he wouldnt race me in the dirt because his tires were bald. So his head really got big because I wouldnt challange him to a drag on the street. Couldnt make this dude realize that he or his quad wasnt the best thing out. Hes a backyard country boy that wore jeans, a Fox shirt and no helmet...and this is 1 of the many Raptor run-ins i've had.....PUKE

 

i liked the story.funny **** and also it is true.......alot of people think those quads are king ****, i think they are heavy as hell but they are smooth on the trails though....also people with bashees think their quads are the ****, when they useally break down in the middle of the fucken woods...

 

more often than not, the rider is what makes alllllll the difference in the world...
i woulda tore the knobbys right off that bike to shut him the fruck up... lol

 

im pretty sure the 700 tops out at like 95 mph i doubt your gonna bust him on the street

 

Ive got one but Im not cocky...Mine does 94 mph and thats with a K&N, slip on, fuel controller, a 15t front sprocket, disconnected the speed sensor and stage 3 web cam........some of the **** people are doing to them is crazy...turbos, 804 kits, cams piston, polished even swappin r1 motors into em.....just like the banshees they can be built to be wicked fast....I own one and love the power but its not the fastest out there I know that but then again I havent been beat yet

they got a good bit of *** on the low end but that's about all... they're alright. guess some of those guys are like Busa riders...

 

Depending on how you mod them, mines is all the way thorugh........Busa owners, you mean Mustang owners ...same difference I guess...your awlays gonna be some jackass that thinks his **** is the best **** out there

yea, funny how those people are...i dont get why jackasses are attracted to Raptors, mustangs & busas. i guess its all the hype behind them, whatever. i'll stick with my 450R and just have fun.

 

Yeah, pretty much the same thing around here "But, it's a 700", but it's a long, heavy turd.

 

Funny thing is Im on a Raptor forum and Ive never really heard any 700 owners talking **** about how bad their quads were (unless they were) but round here its the little ******* that own Banshees that talk mad crap

 

I own a Raptor 660 and a Busa but I dont think they are the baddest bikes out there. I know in real life there is always another bad *** out there.

 

so is the 700 a 2-stroke or a 4? I dont know much about quads

 

I've never heard anyone talk **** with a 'shee that couldn't back it up.

A Raptor is a 4-stroke, I don't think they are making any new 2-stroke engines anymore...

 

i never road a 700 yet... i owned an 05 660 which was the last yr they made em. i liked it but i would never say its that much faster than anything . i raced a trx450r and it was about dead even..i pulled at the end of 2nd and a tad in 3rd but we ended within 2 lengths of eachother



but really..who the **** cares.. give me a jump and ill hit it..or some woods and ill haul *** through there. thats all i cared about!

Agreed, Banshee's don't come anywhere near their potential stock.

 

Had a banshee had a raptor. The 21 year old HONDA 250r dominates them both. Got to love the honda.........
