Proper circles?

Re: Proper circles?
"as soon as i touch the gas it pulls the left side down"
this is called a highside.
you need to lean the bike in more.
BTW, i doubt your gonna be able to walk the bike around in circles, i keep seeing someone needing alot of gas to bring it around, you'll need to go fast.
keep trying, stop being a douche.

Re: Proper circles?
here's a few tips for you:
if it falls inward, onto it's side, you need to speed up (the centrifigul force the biek was making, didn't eqaul that of gravity so the bike fell over, you need to increase the centrifigul force to keep it from fall ing)
if the bike is falling out, highsiding, you need to slow down. the complete oppisite of what i said before, gravity isn't strong enough to keep the bike falling inward, centrifigul force is to much)

Re: Proper circles?
Pete you need to get a quad and do this. Someone that can circle will do it. I don't think anyone will learn to circle on a quad but I do think a quad will be circled by someone good on a bike!!

Re: Proper circles?
it's not a 400, but it'd be a proof of concept, and hopefully it'd get alot more poeple trying

Re: Proper circles?
In my mind the concept is proven. A quad has a balance point side to side just like it does front to back. With good speed control it can definately be pulled off.

Re: Proper circles?
dragon, it's proven in my mind too, pretty much the first time i saw a qaurter spinning around on it's side till it lays flat, it's been proven to me some just don't see it that way tho.
roger, agreed.

no hate here but it still seems a bit far fetched to me...

Re: Proper circles?
I dunno..... Joe Molina's got most everything on a quad on lock and circles bikes all day long. I'd think if it were just a matter of transferring bike skills to a quad Molina would've been doing quad circles yrs ago. I'd like to hear his input on this discussion.......

Re: Proper circles?
1. the edges of a qaurter aren't round, but it still rolls around in circles fine
2. i've done circles on mountain bikes that have a huge lip on them, it's ALOT harder, but it still can be done.

Re: Proper circles?
Good practice instead of spinning quarters on the table would could be.
Get a bar bell , put 30lb on each side to simulate the weight of the wheels and a-arms, stand on one leg, extend the other leg all the way out. Now lean over to a 45 degree angle and hop around in a circle
