New Quad Trick ?

Hey guys....I was wondering.....Is anyone wheelieing their Quad in reverse ? I'm getting pretty good at real slow wheelies, and able to stall the rear wheels for 2 or 3 seconds sometimes (what a cool feeling hanging there in almost limbo ) And cause Im getting better at this.... I'm getting ready to start parking the thing like up against a wall or something (at the BP angle..with the rear brake applied...So I could hit the kill switch....and let the clutch out....and step off the quad and it would stay parked on the wall....being held in gear) I havent tried this yet, but i feel it will be easy.... So Now Im thinking ...... and I know this will be harder...... and take lots of practice .....
from a parked BP angle , on a wall or something..... Climb back on Quad (Left foot on rear bar...right foot on brake ) apply Brake...... Pull clutch in .....Start quad.... Put it in reverse (05 400ex ) ..... THEN......
Slight yank backwards on the bars....to pull it backwards off of the BP......and feather the clutch out (in reverse) to catch the Quad Before the 12 bar touches down.....from there ....feather clutch and work rear brake....and ride slow wheelie backwards..... between the BP and the 12 bar..... ???? I know it will take a shitload of practice....but seems possible ? anyone Doing it ? or ever seen it done ?

Fears...... reverse is tall as ****....will be hard to modulate with feathering...... worse fear..... It'll get going a little ....and a little too hard of a rear brake stab Will slam it on the 12 bar and Probably Over backwards ....LOL I know...I know.... Take Video !!!!

Any Opinions or experiences greatly appreciated

Re: New Quad Trick ?

Tim and Bill from HK Films were doing reverse wheelies about 2 years ago. I saw video of them going about 15-20ft on a few of them.

How to do em? Put the quad in reverse, back up quick and hit the rear brakes to bring the front end up to balance point, then get back on the gas. Sounds simple right?

Re: New Quad Trick ?

go for it dude don't be scared. having a quad fall on top of you doesnt hurt as bad as everybody says. I've heard talk on here of tricks in reverse but I can't remember any pics.

Re: New Quad Trick ?

I never thought in a million years this would be a cool trick but I've been doing it with my trail boss for a long time. Just book *** in reverse and ride the back breaks it's not that hard at all, it's just retarded.

What was with the wall parking? Have you been playing with drugs or something

Re: New Quad Trick ?

very cool to hear it's possible.....I'm not ready to try it.....but It'll be on the backburner for someday Im in the mood to wrastle with my quad to get it off of me.......... a few times......

Hey KUTZ.... here's what I mean...maybe I just worded it wrong...... but like at the end of a run....how some people do a burnout till it pops....or others might just park it on the 12 bar and take a bow or something...... or i've ssen in videos where Bikes do a 180 stoppie and park their rear tire on a steel drum ....or a bale of hay.....(even if it's only for a second or 2 )
Well, I was talking about wheelieing up to something (ie a wall, or a fence, or a tree....or whatever..... and wheelie right up to it.... and park it at the angle of BP.....and get off it and wave or whatever....point to it ...like "look at this cool **** "

Another thing i have in mind.....is bicycling the quad up to a wall.....parallel with it.... and put the 2 tires in the air, up against the wall.... and park it ....or maybe even ride it..... oh well....just thinking out loud

Re: New Quad Trick ?

And it was the thought of 'parking my quad on a wall" that led me to wonder.....what would be the coolest way to "unpark it" Ride it away in a reverse wheelie ?........ And hence I had to start this thread and ask...

I have learned more here at stuntlife, in a few months , than i'd learned in years before having found this site. Thanks guys
