Thing hauls *** and pulls strong.:YEAH The guy was trackin it, but was so salty to sell it he wasn't verry helpfull and it's been a long time since i raced a car. Well drag raced one. LOL

Nice car, my buddy has a 97 firebird with the guts of a 93 t/a, so basically the same car as yours. it runs pretty good. I used to have a 98 and enjoyed it.

 

Went for tune and test on friday night we ran untill 11pm. I didn't get off work untill 830 so i ran it twice all i had time to line up for, but by that time it had cleared out a little !!

First run 12.8 .......Kinda miss shifted and wasn't used to the drag thing

second pass 12.6.........kinda miss shifted first to second again Ok i guess ?? There WAS alot of folks interested in the car though.
Just under 400 horses is what i've been told don't know untill i dyno it

Next friday evening I'll be down there all night so we'll see.
Couldn't get anyone to go with after i got off work.
Next week my uncle is going with me and he will film some stuff.

His stang is bad *** and he races it there most weekends, I think i got somthin, somthin for him.

Oh yea got the title yesterday in the mail and it is a formula ??


On the highway last night at 90 mph in 6th gear it was sitting on 2,000 rpm.

Yeah it's a formula. Engine, trans and rear end from a t/a, but the body of a v6. Difference in the body is the front bumper on the t/a has fog lights, the rear bumper has 2 notches where the exhaust tips are and the t/a has a taller spoiler.

I have an 80 Z28 that I drag race. Lately it's been runnin 11.8s @ 115. Best of 11.58 @ 115 on the motor, and 11.12 @ 121 on the bottle. I try to go at least every other weekend for the bracket races.

 

I have alot to learn, but should be a cool new hobby

I'm digging the camaro rims on the Firebird... My girlfriend was running 13.5-13.7's in her 98 WS6 auto...you have one fast Lt1 F car....( although fast is a relative term)
And lucky for you its a 94... the T56 in 93 was weaker... (rated for 350 ft-lbs vs. 400 ft- lbs)

you have a picture of your car? i have an 80 camaro too, not a z28 though, just a standard model with a 305 in it, not bad for a daily driver.
