Rear Tires

Whats a good set of rear tires that are appropriate for stunting. The tires I have now seem so worn that I have to put two different amounts of air pressure in each of the rear tires. This way I can keep the quad going straight while in a wheelie. Do others have this problem with their tires??? Whats a good set to eliminate this problem???

Re: Rear Tires

If ya do 100% street riding, try to get a set of golf cart tires, or even trailer tires (the wide ones...)
only problem with trailer tires, is the sidewalls will be much stiffer than a regular atv tire, causing turns in wheelies to be very difficult.
If you ride sand as well, i recomend holeshot knock-offs, rockymoutainatv sells tire/wheels kits very reasonably priced, and will ship them to your door within a week.

Re: Rear Tires

there's street tires for quads.. but i think they come in 27" only..

i have a worn( not fully) set you can HAVE.. just come pick them up... they have prolly 20% tread left.. just run low pressure and you'll be fine..

Yea I am definelty going to be looking here for those. I think for my SDG this might be a little better seems how all i ride is street with it. I was actualy thinking of doing the back street and front MX, this way i still have the hard sharp turns that MX gives. What you think?

might be cool...until the front end decides to wash out on you...I mean if yer only stuntin the fiddy(SDG) then the front is in the air most of the time, but if you are buzzin a parking lot and hotrodding it and motarding it then i would just do both in street.

for the IRC's go with 80/90 10's that is about equal to 3.14x10's they work out good for circles and great for racing, nice sidewall for a plush ride.

did i stutter? Yes, golf cart tires... or the tires off a kawa Mule or sumtin.... anything d.o.t. approved that is 2 ply or less should work just fine... 4 and 6 ply trailer tires are jus too stiff for turning in a wheelie...

Re: Rear Tires

Well thats a whole thing in itself, sizes!!! I think i should go from 10 inch tires to 12 inch. It might make it ride better. I know I will be spending some bucks$$$$ because of the rims but i know it will probably make it less bumpier of a ride.

SeeMyZ, show me some pics of your quad with golf tires on it. I just visualy cant seem to see that picture in my head. I will def look into it though. Show me what you got?
