which 400cc quad?

I am in the market for an 06 quad, and would like to know which one I should go with? I looked at the Suzuki Saturday. Not going to be doing much stunting, mainly just the normal dirt.

400ex is one the most, if not most reliable quad there is. but even with me being a honda guy you will probably be happier with a z, pretty much all the benefits of a 400ex plus liquid cooled, reverse, etc...

05 and up EX has reverse also

but the Z is still better trail or stunt

runs better for wheelies.. doesnt spit gas

the resi shocks are the **** for trails and some light jumping

get the Z .. just not the 06 Yel and Blue .. there under powered and slow

Re: which 400cc quad?

yeah, I definitely like the resi shocks and battery location.

I sense a little sarcasm with the last statement.

For just riding in dirt and trail, climbing hills, light jumping, maybe a little mud here and there, ruff terain, and a couple wheelies, but not stunting combos and **** I would honestly get a Scrambler or something along that lines and you aren't going to ever ruin one of those ever, and contrary to popular belief there just as fast if not faster than a 5 speed 400 ex or Z or KFX of DVX

Re: which 400cc quad?

Smooth constant power, 10+ inches of suspension travel, 15" of ground clearence, I didn't get the impression he was looking to rock mile long wheelies standing on his handel bars with one foot while balancing a bowling ball with the other and jugeling flaming chainsaws at the same time, like you've spend your life trying to perfect

Now who's wacked.....yeah your right, still me isn't it

Re: which 400cc quad?

Just for the record I smoked 3 400ex's, a kfx, a 450r, and a grizzly in an offroad challange with my 250 junkassride by a good 13 seconds on the track. I'll post up some footage of it tommarow for ya if I remeber

To the guy looking for the quad, just get whatever the hell you want, or what you can get a good deal on

Get an ATC. I can juggle chainsaws, loaded shotguns, or whatever you want me to. On the weekends I juggle between your mom and sister. To be honest with ya. Neither of them are worth juggling either. I usually end up dislocating my shoulder with your obese mom. Kuter isn't wacked just a little goofy. And that turquoise and white ferry ride he has did womp all over those quads!!!! But no the ATC.

^^^Hahahahahahah.......nope....he owned u little tricicle b1tch

Tiller I was just saying the scrampler is an all around good ride and can do power wheelies and basic stunting manuevers which is what he sounded like he was looking for plus the 4x4 models weigh nothing more than the 2x4's

Re: which 400cc quad?

Hey TILLER,

Heard anything about the corrosion on the Z's from the water based coolant reacting with the magnesium clutch cover??? There are bunch of people going nuts about it over on Z400central.com. I have the link to the specific thread if you would like. It's kind of keeping me from purchasing one this weekend.

The frame also broke on the early model Z's. It'll need to be welded if you want to moto the quad.

Re: which 400cc quad?

I guess I didn't think about it, just quoting the guy that started the thread. Yes it is 16 pages and covers a litle over a year, but some seriously interesting pics through out. Starts here:

Re: which 400cc quad?

Well I've had my KFX for summers and I pretty much trail ride, play in pits, wheelie and bit and do some pave stuff and my frame is fine. My friends EX has had 1 crack in the frame, it's like anything, if you're gonna abuse it you gotta be prepared to fix it.

Besides if your frame gets to messed up it gives you an excuse to get this:
