i have a kfx, it owns alot of other quads. mine is stock and i eat 400ex with exhaust, and i beat some banshees too (mods, rider, etc.) but i would definately go for the z. reverse is helpful, but i wouldnt mind another gear.

 

Bah I wouldnt buy 400Ex is too frigging SLOW
I got a 03 Raptor, its not the best for stunting ( ei pretty much sucks ) but its a great trailriding Quad with plenty of power.
My Friend's 02 KFX is pretty close to me when we ride, I just blow 400EX away.

I bought the 03 Raptor as a Leftover, I saved about 1,500$ CND, so for about 1,800$ more I could've get the 04 YFZ450, I think I screwed up here =\

 

Z/KFX's are the best. 400ex's have an old engine that hasnt changed for years, the CRAPTOR just plain sucks, and a warrrior? Not even a question. But if all ur gonna do is stunt, and thats it, a 400ex is ok. I ride track, stunt, trails so i got the Z.

 

get a banshee... they're sick.. ive ridden z400's and raptors, and the shee owns them all... c'mon.. 78 mph stock... its sick for a little 350cc toy... pipe, carb, and your over 85mph.. plus they stunt like crazy...

on a side note... i am goin to florida for daytona bike week, but i'm bringin my shee too.. are there good places to ride that someone from out-of-town can ride? just dont wanna be tearin it up on the streets all day...

I'm sorry but anyone who says a z/kfx/dvx will blow away a 400ex is ignorant. I got both of them and trust me TONS of testing's been done. 300ft drag races the z will pull about half a quad length consistantly with equal riders. But even the tienies bit of extra skill on the ex and it'll walk the z all day. And I mean VERY little difference. The z has a 2 mph top speed over the ex, which isn't even noticeable...you can't feel it whatsoever. The z revs a little quicker which is what give's the half of a quad length. Yes we switched riders and the same result came exact every time. For stunting I personally prefer the 400ex, but for trails I'd take the z (reverse). For the moto track I'd say 400ex just because I think it handles a little bit better. So anyone saying they're whiping the floor with 400ex's if you have a z, the guy on the ex just licked *****. If you want to see us test it come on out and I'll show you :YEAH

Suzi made a hell of a quad with the z, but the difference is not what you are claiming it to be.

Ive ridden all of those quadz and the best 4 stunting was the kfx 4 me. I got my raptor because i like going fast... O, Bansheez Sukkkkk i hate those f***in bikes. There no fun. I really dont like the 400ex either, da z and kfx are tight though.

 

just test drive the quads and get the feel for what one YOU feel good on.
I drove all of them and went with the 400ex. It has the best handling and smokes all the other bikes threw the trials.

 

400ex it the most versitile machine on the market. :YEAH

I've only been beat by ds650 and a raptor both in drag races. Track race the 400ex eats up on MOST other wheelers if the rider is any good at all. I've seen 2 brothers drag each on a 400ex and ds650 baja and the 400ex still won. I guess you have to tack 1st and 2nd out and 3rd will take the ds650.

I mainly hill climb and I'll take the 400ex over any quad on the hills
