Studs vs Chains??

Jus wondering if anyone has ever seen chains on a quad... i would think it would be cool, cuz then u dont hafta worry about losing air pressure in one or the other...
if anyone has used chains, please post up! Or any hints and tips u might have on how to stud up some tires for winter. Thanks.

Re: Studs vs Chains??

At first I thought damn another one of barry's crazzy ideas like who in the hell other than a loopy ice fisher would try and put chains on a quad and for shure it would have to be a utilitybut then google once agian saves the day

CHECK IT

Still looks like alot of tire wear but if your only going to use them once in a while i suppose, to bad I just bought 6000 ice screws for this winter

Re: Studs vs Chains??

Chains...lots of gold chains.....oh you meant on the tires....it would be more convient, and you wouldnt need a spare set of rims/tires.....if it worked as well as studs it woud be very cool....

Re: Studs vs Chains??

I email the chain manufacturer about the size need ed for a 400ex this is what they said

"Your machine isn't listed because chains are for utility vehicles. I suggest studding your tires in this case. Thanks, Paul"

So I guess the chain guys dont recommend them for sport quads..
