are u sure its gas ?

anything in the box would get there by suction from the outside .. do u have the lil plastic boot that goes on the bottom of the airbox ?

i meant is the boot on there ?

if so the fuel would have had to get in there when the quad was off .. through the intake and then thru the airfilter

take that boot off and i use the super sticky air filter oil (motul blue stuff) and fill it a bit

catches all the stuff flying around in yer airbox

Re: Fuel in my airbox??

If you don't turn your gas off after you ride it could cough it up when you start it after some time ?

Because if you don't, the cylinder could fill with gas and seep past the rings and get in the oil. Not good.

Re: Fuel in my airbox??

I wouldnt worry about a little gas on the walls of the airbox. Its entirely possible that some fuel that was in the carb got sucked back into the airbox. For a milisecond a vacuum is created in the airbox as the air is sucked into the engine in the split second before the intake valves close. As long as there isnt gas pooling in the airbox, I wouldnt worry about it.
As for shutting the fuel off, it certainly wouldnt hurt. Normally you shut the gas off if you arent going to ride the quad for a while or when trailering, but it wouldnt hurt to shut the gas off when you are done riding.
