400ex overflow tube dribble

Anyone have a fix for this? My ex has dribbled fuel out of the overflow tube (the one by the battery) during bp wheelies since I've owned it, but I've started to get better at long wheelies and I hate losing 1/2 a tank of fuel every time I ride. Help!!!!

There was a guy a while back that hooked up a 1 liter bottle, and ran the hose inside of it. When he was done, just popped the bottle off and poured it back in the tank

Just a thought

Yeah I thought of that but I'd rather fix the problem with the carb if possible .

Re: 400ex overflow tube dribble

I have "heard" that with little to no modifications a Z400 (or similiar) carb will fit right on an EX. All of the Z's I have seen, don't leak a drop.

I have also "heard" that a 400ex carb can increase the performance of a Z400 for some reason.

Thus, if you could find somebody to trade with you, you'd be set .

They sell adaptor kits to turn your carb up at a 45* angle to stop that similar to bikes, also i have an AutoCad File of a tube design that uses engine vacume to blow that back into the tank, I believe it's posted on here somewhere not shure.

go out in your garage and look at the angle of each carb .. the Z is tipped down in the front so when yer in a wheelie it levels out and the bowl isnt overfilling
