New to Atv's help
Hey guys I'am pretty new to atv riding and was wounding if you guys on stuntlife could help me out. I'am looking for a atv where I can just go out race arould for a bit then maybe later on hit some bigger jumps. Also I was looking for a quad that isn't to bad for my little bro which is 15 years old, dont want him to get hurt. I was thinking of maybe a trx400ex or a predator my buddy said the 600r raptor isn't to bad also.

I'd say go with the Suzuki also. Like Phear said, they have better performance, but if you start racing a lot and are hitting big jumps you're going to want to get a gusset kit to reinforce the frame or it could crack.
Your lil' bro should do just fine on a Z400 or 400ex as well.

like them, i say go with the Zuki or KFX. I got my KFX when i was 15 and it is perfect for me, its a awsome quad.
incase you didnt know, the Suzuki Z400 and Kawasaki KFX 400 are the exact same.

Re: New to Atv's help
The Z400 is a good all around bike, I could't agree more.
My wife has the Z250 (semi automatic) and not too bad on all around performance. Not the bike for racing and huge air though, but a good beginner.
The raptor is too much for someone that is not very experienced.
on the other note, didn't the TRX400ex come out with reverse in 2005? That is a good bike, the only downfall is the lack of reverse on the past models.

Re: New to Atv's help
Problem with the little brother is that I have issues with throwing a 15 yr old with limited experience on a machine that will do 75 over dirt, jumps, logs, and oh yeah, fences.
Just be careful with the machines that you choose. Everything tends to cause stupidity from time to time because it is fun. Just make sure that you and your brother start with something controllable but fun. Build experience then go bigger.

Re: New to Atv's help
I had a Raptor and a 400EX both. I would take the 400EX over the Raptor any day just because it handles so much better. You really had to work your body position to get the Raptor to stay with a 400EX as far as handling goes. The Raptor is faster though. I haven't ridden the Z400, but I have heard a lot of good things about it. I am a Suzuki guy, so I would go with the Z400
