Picked up a brand new GasGas 450 Wild!

The new 2005 model and it's damn nice!

- Brembo 2piston calipers all around with braided lines.
- Öhlins shocks all around.
- Max width for TT/SuperMoto (1300mm rear)
- Fuelinjection
- Supersmooth 6speed gearbox. 110mph have been seen on the speedometer on unrestricted broken in machines.
- Supersmooth hydraulic clutch
- Nerfs
- Killswitch
- roadcomputer with stopwatch

And, best of all, it's streetlegal! :YEAH

Currently restricted to 20hp, but as soon as it's properly broken in I will remove the restriction and add a fullrace exhaust. Jumping the power to +50hp...

It doesn't stand a chance against my fullrace 70hp Raptor, but it's a very nice package to come right out of the box.

And here in sweden it's $2400 cheaper then a streetlegal Raptor...

Pics to come!

Yes, well. We like it!

Will be interesting once I remove the restrictions and put the fullrace exhaust on... +50hp is better then 20...

FoxGirl - Sure! Look me up next time you're in Sweden...

Re: Picked up a brand new GasGas 450 Wild!

FoxGirl - Yeah, U can say that again. My Rappy is a never ending project. But it kicks the GG's but in any discipline, but at twice the price it shouldn't be a competition.

I don't ever think they can compete with the big boys in term of shere numbers out there. I do know a few guys who races them sucessfully internationally though.

The bad thing is that you won't find much aftermarket parts out there. It has the same boltpatterns for the spokes as the Honda TRX does, but that's it as far as I know.

250Rrider - Yes, the 2 Stroke is very much alive. I do prefer 4 stroke though...

Re: Picked up a brand new GasGas 450 Wild!

I wouldn't move just yet, you guys generally has a lot of things going for you that we don't. Everything is more expensive here and we generally make less money, it's a bad combination. A Rappy is twice the price here for instance...

I prefere 4stroke because of the torque and sound. It's easier to control and not as much maintenance. There are no 2strokes fighting for the top positions in either TT or Iceracing overe here. My

Re: Picked up a brand new GasGas 450 Wild!

for one...i think that thing is hideous looking. but goddamn. all the parts on that thing are fkin sweet. the *** end looks gross...but hell its street legal so who cares. damn thatd be sick to rock down the freeway. ud think theyd have some decent wheels on it tho.

another thing. a two stroke will blow up ALOT faster than a four stroke and they take a ton of maintenance to keep up.

4 stroke all the way.

In the long run the 4 strokes are much more to maintain.

That is such a sick price. Especially when you compare it to a raptor at 15k.
