Re: Interested Buyer!

Big difference between the power and size of a quad and the power and size of your bike. I know it's extremely fast and will be a scare but he is an experienced rider. Of course i'll ride it first and see what i think but i was thinking of height wise wether he will fit. I found these specs and i compared it to a 250

KX 500
Overall length: 86.2 in.
Overall width: 32.1 in.
Overall height: 47.4 in.
Ground clearance: 14.6 in.
Seat height: 37.4 in.
Dry weight: 220.4 lbs.
Fuel capacity: 2.6 gal.
Wheelbase: 58.7 in.

YZ 250
Length
85.9"
Width
32.6"
Height
51.5"
Seat Height
39.0"
Wheelbase
58.3"
Ground Clearance
15.6"
Rake (Caster Angle)
27
Trail
4.7"
Dry Weight
211 Lbs.

That's cool, looks like size it's right in line with the rest of the dirt bikes.
when I ride it it feels realy light and verry simalar to the rest of the bikes out there just pulls like a beast and a little unforgiving on the gas.
Sorry ,I can't help but to reiterate about the power it's a , HOOT !!

Re: Interested Buyer!

I bet man, a lot of power behind 500cc. So size is no problem. Does the bike run perfect now or will i need to make any adjustments at all? And i think i might go to PsychoFest. Your going right?

Re: Interested Buyer!

Sounds good. I think i'll go and i'll just spectate. I would ride my gsxr but i don't feel like bringin it out to penn and i need a truck to bring the quad if were going to do the trade. You going to bring the bike on the back of your truck then? If that's the case i'll borrow a friends and haul the quad up there and we can make the trade right at psychofest. Sound like a plan?

Re: Interested Buyer!

Aight sounds good, i'll clean the quad and make any adjustments needed. The only thing right now needing adjustment is the carb. I'm also having the quad looked over friday by a friend that works at a Kawasaki/Suzuki/Polaris shop.
Now that i have until June i'll go the whole nine yards with it, make it prefect.

The only thing is that you would have to buy a battery for it when you get back home. I had a friend charge my battery yesterday and the yellow capson the top broke off on the way back to my house. It's leaking acid and i don't want to mess with it since i like the way my hands are, not melted.
**I would get a new one for you one but i dont want to transport another one. A battery will only set you back about 30-40 bucks, not a biggie.
***And get it when you get home, not at Psychofest...bad idea to transport batteries long distances. It will still start though, it has a recoil start for backup so you don't rely on the electric start. Sound ok?

Same goes for me, straight up no bullshit. I'm glad to hear you're responsible enough to have the bike in the house and out of the weather. The same goes for my quad, I had it in a mechanic shop down the road from me. The owner let me work on it whenever i needed to granted i bring my own tools. Just got it back a few weeks ago and I have it in my garage. I drained the gas and left the oil so that my lines wouldn't freeze but left the oil so the engine wouldn't dry out and cause the o-rings to go bad. I'll try to put the video up tonight when i go home, if i can figure out how.

Re: Interested Buyer!

Did you get the video's i sent you? Sorry about the quality but as i said our video camera is broken. It will turn on but it won't record, i think one of the ***** inside is missing or broken. Hope they're good enough. If not let me know any i'll try to get somebody with a video camera to help me out.

Nice video by the way. Showed it to a few people and they said it looked nice. I like how the plastics are not faded and there is no rust on the bike. Good stuff man, i'll see you at Psycofest later on. And if i get a chance i'll call you later today and we can talk about how we're going to work things out. :YEAH

Re: Interested Buyer!

There might be a small problem but i might be able to fix it, i'm seein what i can do. As i said i just put the stock carbeurator on it and all it needs to be adjusted and might need a new o-ring. The old carb was a 35mm Mikuni and i put the stock 30mm mikuni on it for more low end power. I stunted it and didn't need to go as fast as it could so it's set for low end performance.
So it needs carb tuning and maybe the o-ring and a throttle cable. I had set up a time to drop the quad off at a dealer and have them tune it but i couldn't get up there on that day. I called the next day to set another day to bring it in and they are booked until june 7th. They said it's the busy time right now because everyone is just bringing out there quads and bikes to be tuned/fixed from winter storage.
I'll try to find a way to have them look at it before the 7th but if not would you have some place near you that could fix it? It's just over $100 to fix/tune the carb and maybe $5- $10 for the throttle cable.
If i can't get to the shop would you be able to do that?
Let me know and we'll see what we can do.

Re: Interested Buyer!

Yea , It's cool if it starts and sounds ok, I'm alright with that. See if you can get it looked at though. Just see what you can do.

Re: Interested Buyer!

Yea i just have to find a truck i can bring it up with. I'll try to get the quad in but if not i'll still bring it up and just show you what needs to be done. I think i might be able to get an estimate on it and if that's the case i'll let you know how much it would be to fix it. Not more than $200 for sure. And you figure if my quad is worth $2200 running perfect it's probably worth about $1800 or so right now. I'll still clean it up and i'll keep you up on if i can get it in the shop. Your bike is a 92' so it's probably worth a little more than a grand or so, so either way you get a good deal.
You want me to bring the quad up and trade even if i can't get it in the shop? I'm trying to get in through some connections i have but we'll see haha.
