Run a little extra oil in it ??

This may be common knolledge to most of ya , but on sport bikes it's recomended to run a little extra oil in a bike being stunted. Is this also true for quads
How long till it pukes ?

thank's for your support

I run 2 quarts, I think you are supposed to put 1.9 so its not much extra...dunno if it helps Im just lazy and its easier to pour 2 quarts in, haha

Re: Run a little extra oil in it ??

Run half a quart more than recomended in the manual. More oil = faster heat transfer and a lower overall engine temperature. Don't overdo it though cause you will blow out oil seals.

Its 2 quarts, well technically its like 1.8 or 1.9 with a filter. Mine is an 05 but it doesn't matter what year, they havent changed the engine since it came out in 99. Also half a quart over is too much.

I dont think you would need to run extra oil in the 400ex. I am pretty sure its dry sump. Overfilling is for problems related to design flaws in wet sump systems.
