New 400ex

the new honda 400 ex is pretty sweet. my friend just bought one. it has the plastics of the 450R, but with a little bit of a "red" twist of colors. the gearing is swlightly different, and it now comes with reverse. This 2005 edition of the 400EX is pretty nice, but the price is a little steep. MSRP is like $5800, but my friend bought it for $5500 ( tax not included yet) Since we have 2.5 feet of snow up here, we haven't really had a chance to stand the thing up yet, but are time will come when the snow either packs or melts down a bit :YEAH

Im a yamaha guy myself, but i cant help but say that the 2005 Honda 400EX is pretty sick

Re: New 400ex

Don't dismiss the 400ex.Still a great machine can do just about anything with it.Still a good woods hair scramble race bike.Raced my 2001 400ex hair scamble and flat track last year. Plenty of pretty yam 450's behind me.At least for the first hour or so.Maybee vet class this year?

Re: New 400ex

I got a 05 400ex, I love it. I wanted a 450 originally but I dont race or nothing I just like to stunt and mess around on trails. So I got the 400, e-start is pimp and I use the reverse all the time. Only thing I dont like is the grab bar is one piece with the sub frame and I already scraped it up 12n it.

Re: New 400ex

My friend has an 05 he bought it from a dealer in ny for 4800 cash no tax, back when they first came out. Its looks sweet and all but the reverse doesn't always work, as a matter of fact it hasn't for sometime. First year flaws i guess. Wheelies real smooth, because everytime he comes over, he ends up riding in the street.

Re: New 400ex

yeah my friend's is so easy to stand up! i like the LED tailights to, especially at night. he bought his for like $5600. My raptor350 cost like $4700, and once i piped it with an HMF, it is just as fast. it still is a pimp though
