stuntin with the boys
I'm kind of new to the whole two wheel stunting scene, but I've been around other "manly" vehicle sports. Mostly demolition derbies. The guys in that sport are very possesive about keeping their competitions to themselves. The chicks who do participate are usually only permitted to compete against each other.
I was wondering how you ladies feel about stunt competing with the guys. Do you like events that are women only or do you feel offended by women only competitions?
Just curious
(yeah, I'm a chick)
PS: Just picked up my Ninja 500 this weekend...and now its snowing like a mother...

Although I don't stunt or even have my own bike yet, I would only compete against guys. Why should chicks compete against each other? That's crap! It is 2003 now and men and women have equal rights and all that stuff. I am sure not a lot of guys would have a problem competeing with chicks either. Stunters have talent, major talent and it should be shared with ALL regardless of sex or age or any of that. :D

To my knowledge there are only two bonafide female streetbike stunters, Laura Walker and myself. We ride together on a regular basis and overall are pretty equally matched. I can wheelie for a coupla BLOX, Laura can wheelie for a coupla MILES. Laura is waaaaaaaay better at stoppies than I am, but I come to stunting with a pretty good motocross backgroud and am able to move around pretty well on the bike.
There are some girlz out there that have the skill, they just need to grow some ***** and learn more tricks.

I am new to stunt riding also. Been at it about a month now and enjoying every minute of it! I can only do a few things right now, but am working on more! I first learned with a group of guys from Atlanta. They thought it was cool as shyt that I could already do wheelies! That same first day I ever rode with them, I learned how to do the *Christ* and also to *sketch* beside my bike! They were shocked and so was I. I had no idea I could do that stuff, so now I'm getting brave! I was one of those girls like TrikChik mentioned about being able to stunt, but not knowing I could because i was too scared to try! I think that guys like to see girls stunt. It seems like a turn on to them! I don't know how well some guys would like going up against a girl in a stunt comp. but with the way the world is today, I think most guys would go for the challenge!
