yep

I started out on a GSXR 600 and loved it but it was a little heavy, so I moved to a R1 and it was to light so I think that I am going with the new GSXR 750.
I have got the double stand up wheelie mastered with another person on back with me...
Becareful and have fun. Make sure if you ride with any people that stunt you LISTEN they know what they are talking about.
I have been on my *** one to many times for showing it off on the bike (not liter.) anyway have fun!!!!!! :whitecat:

You went from a 600 to a 1000 because the 600 was to heavy???

I had a 99 GSXR6 and it was very heavy for me... and it just did not have what I wanted...I got a good deal on the r1 and I could not keep it on the ground. that is what I mean.

I know the older bikes are heavier than the newer ones.

Couldn't keep it on the ground - meaning the front tire?

For one thing, i asked if there was any girls from the STL which means St.Louis MO. and another, if your doing stand ups then why would you want to keep the wheel down on the R1? ohh yeah, if you ride an R1 why does your profile say you ride an R6.

Gsx-r's are a completely different ride than a yamaha you need to understand that... Your problem was not about weight it was ride and power... Maybe you should look more into bikes if you are gonna get in here talking about them... Just my opinion...

I agree with gixxerchic600. I ride an 03 Yamaha R6 and it is different from the gsxr's (a friend of mine rides one). It's all about preference. I looked into every aspect before I went from a Kawasaki to a Yamaha.
Good luck!

The 1,000 is on the way out the door... I am not ready for all the power. I have been ridding with DMEXTREME here in Des Moines for a little over a year and they all know about the problem I have with the weight. I was very hard for me to bring up the 99 GSXR 600 and the r1 I dont want to be on one wheel all the time so I am just looking at my options and thought I would see what all you girls would recomend? Look I am not saying that I know tons about bikes I just ask the guys and they say yes or no not a good idea. I want something that is not to heavy the oldaer bikes are heavy I really like the 2002 GSXR 750.

i think you would be better off on like an r6 if you like the feel of the r1 better... the 750 is gonna be the same as the 600 gsx-r... they are the same bike just slightly more power and cc's. gsx-r's are wider in the front which makes a HUGE difference with a yamaha... i dont even see how anyone could compare an r1 to a gsx-r.. they are soooooo different...

But then again.. Most people know that YAMAHA sucks for a stunt bike!

I wouldn't go quite that far. Can't say I stunt but I'm learning little by little. My R6 is Great! I ride with several guys who stunt out on the R6 or R1. They seem to do fine. Is it that they are too light weight?? Not sure what makes a good stunt bike ??

Gotta love the power in the R6 and R1

I gotta agree with Carmen.... What do you see most people stunting on??? GSX-R's of course.... I love my gsx-r, couldnt ask for a better bike.... I don't know about this girl's problem with the bikes though... Did she buy all the bikes to test them out or what??? I know I don't have the cash for that type of stuff...

maybe she bought and sold, sold then bought, never know...

I do believe a Suski is a better stunt bike, I can't ride one thou my *** is two small and two me that tank seems too big... I like the Yamaha for a few different reason, but it doesn't seem like the most convientional stunt bike, I have heard that without a dampner they tank slappy like a crazy horse on wheels if your trying stoppies.... But I do give anybody credit who can stunt on either bike, hey if you got it good props to you which ever bike you have.....
