how do you like the f4i over the buell?

 

The buell was easy as far as it was literally a matter of popping the clutch to bring it up and was easier to stay balanced side to side but stoppies were really damn scary. The f4i was hard at 1st bc I felt like I had to really work to get it up but now I dont even think about it. The v-twin on the buell kind of chugs along in a slow wheelie and the f4i is really smooth. Buell was more comfy with that long bar and I still feel a little squished on the f4i compared to the buell. I think its going to be easier to learn circles on the f4i though bc I can get 1/4 turns pretty easy and the buell I couldnt. Guess they are a lot differant but didnt have a hard time transfering at all.

 

What you say is totally right!
Twins actually are longer cuz of the way the engine is layed out.. one cylinder in front of the other one. So yea.. you actually ARE more squished on the Honda. LOL
That and the feel you get is from the way they build power too. With the firing order of a twin being more evenly spaced out and slower... kinda like a heartbeat -Vs- the buzzy inline four motors, where it's like a tin can full of angry bees and the power pulses are more frequent and closer together! That's why the honda feels somewhat smoother too.

My Aprila was fun... it was the mix of both worlds.. a twin that revved like a Jap bike!!
I really don't miss it at all though either.

 

Well I just got some Vortex clipons and was rockin stock before so hopefully I wont feel so squished and awkward now. Cant wait to try them and learn my new handbrake out but have to wait to get my tank back!

 

you will deff have some more room with some vortex clip ons. just roll em out

I was supposed to get $2000 and a $800 gift card for a Leo Vince exhaust, tex was supposed to get $1500, and alie was supposed to get $1000. But none of us (that i know of) have recieved a penny. I didn't even get my gift card. Yet all of the guys got paid months ago.

yea i know. the promoter is alan lane. I'm hoping that he intends to pay us eventually, but the competition was in september, so i'm starting to worry. sucks though because i was counting on getting that money so i signed up for a good private health insurance plan and stuff. not to mention i did not work all summer to practice for that comp.

 

 

yes, of course! i've called and emailed him. everytime he says he'll send it the next week or by the end of the month, but i never recieve anything. he has not responded to my last email though (sent last week).

Next time you speak to him, ask him to stop beating around the bush and just tell you if he intends on paying you or not, because thats straight bullshit.............especially if the guys who won already go ttheir cash.

 

trust me, i couldn't agree more that it's pretty f-d up. problem is i never am able to actually talk to him. he never answers his phone so i leave him a voicemail each time and then sometimes he responds with an email. when i met him he seemed like an honest person, but i don't know what's going on anymore.

he owes over 5 G's to competitors that you KNOW he's gotta know that if ya'll didn't show up, there would be NO comp. at all...???
