thanks man. i been kinda not stunting much lately, finding it really hard not to get discouraged because (1) i don't have a legal stunt spot,no one to ride with up here, and if i lose my licence i lose my job...(2) i got this gay as **** leg injury which kills me everytime i ride, and (3) my bf, isn't all that keen on my stunting so it kinda makes it hard coz i just gotta ride neways and put up with him being all annoyed with it...i just gotta find ways to get him interested in it, he's a 4wd guy not a bike guy. ugh do ne of u girls have partner trouble like this?

argh **** just having a winge gotta drink a mugachino of and get back out there find myself somewhere to ride again!!!

Well, truthfully there are going to be a TON of more things that will add to the discouragement as you keep riding, and that is directly measured by the fact that I've seen so many people come and go from this hobby, or sport.

It's hard! But I guess if it was easy then everyone would be doing it! And also, I really do understand what you are going through 110% because my wife is'nt very supportive of me at times with this either.

It keeps me from riding sometimes when I really want to! And she really doesn't see it as any more than, sure it's cool, but right now it's just spending money on something frivilous and that's it!
And I've tried everything to get her interested in it, like introducing her to all the pro's and then giving her the camera, and makin sure someone better than me was riding too, so she'd have a better subject to photo. hahaha
But it didn't get me anywhere. She isn't too "keen" on it either... oh well! LOL
The only thing that I'm sure of is I'll never quit!!
I hope your leg heals up all the way and stops messin with ya, and you find a new better spot too. Keep at it and never give up on your dreams!!!!

 

i think the difficulties that come with the sport definatly make it more attractive to certain stubborn personalities, probably why i always end up coming back to it haha.
thanks for your encouragement jstunt. i know i'll always keep riding no matter what, relationships come and go, riding doesn't! it's just a case of sometimes having the guts to tell someone you're just going to do something when you really care about em and don't want any dramas! I'm such a softy it's terrible, just gotta keep remind myself i havn't changed, i was a rider before he came along, and if he causes too many troubles, i'll be a rider after he's gone too!

in my case the issue isn't money or anything like that, it's that he's kinda the oldfashioned jealous type and hates the idea of me being around any of the local stunters which of course are guys. i'm not the cheating sort, never have, never would, never will. i don't even flirt with anyone, whether he's there or not! but guys are guys and they just seem to read anything into everything!

im just trying to involve him more in it, done the whole camera thing, taken him to a stunt event the other month,introduced him around, get him to help me fix my bike and when i'm riding i'll get his opinions on everything, am planning on buying him a bike sometime (to use!) so fingers crossed it'll end up good! if not i'm never putting so much bloody effort into anything ever again lol!

bwahahaha yeah too rite they do! sooo gay. and as for the boyfriend, hows funnys this...had a stunt event on last weekend, decided to go...got given the ultimatum "if you go ride down there, i'm breaking up with you" told him "bike was here before u came dude, and it's gonna still fukin be here after ur gone too...course i'm going" haha he's like ''so u chose ur bike over me???'' hahahaha i got dumped for going stunting, i feel like a lesbian! going out with a girl....bwahahahahahahaha

on MUCH more intersting news though, i've got h.c rolling burnouts nailed, and i blew a tyre doing a 2nd gear rev limiter one hander rolling and YES i do have piccies! i'm just waiting for the photographer to send em to me, and DAMNIT, he's taking for ever!

right now i'm trying to get the guts up to approach a couple of local businesses with nice parking lots and try and get a good stunt spot! wish me luck!
