I'm looking into a new helmet as my current one is nicked and cracked to hell. I was considering the Shoei RF1000 Nerve or X11 or Arai rx7- but I wanna hear what you girls have chosen and your own experiences. There are a couple things that bother me that guys can't relate to: the heaviness of some helmets & you really can't tell by going to the store and wearing it once, wind rattle, a design that accomodates to our ponytails and/or knotting longer hair (I know that sounds stupid) and better graphics....

ok well i've had 3, an HJC CL-12 that was my first...didn't much care for it...i had an Arai Okada (it was a quantum f i believe) loved it I AM PISSED OFF TO HIGH HEAVEN that i can't replace it. So i ordered the Shoei RF1000 Diabolic and for the fit, i like it just as much. It doesn't go down as far in the back which i like. got all my parts in, so hopefully saturday afternoon and sunday i can get the bike back together.

 

OMG Ali i just bought the rf1000, but i got Nerve in red because it matched my red/black honda color scheme. I hope this fits right I ordered online. Where did you get yours from?

 

got it from helmet harbor (349!!!) i had to get an xxs, i wore an xs in the arai, but all they had left was 1 xxs and the only difference is the cheek pads so if i needed to swap i could....but it fits great.

Ok this is squidish to admit but my first helmet was a Cirus (made by HJC), it was less than $100 and I needed one quick, got that one, all black, won't ever wear it again. Shortly after buying that one I bought a Shoei (first picture). That was ok (or so I thought) and I recently bought a Suomy (second picture).....I don't think I'd ever buy anything different now!! Much much much lighter, the noise level is better than the Shoei (well lack there of) and it is just a much better fit too.....and it's girly, it's got flowers on it hehe

 

DARN i was thinking of the suomy flowers too, but i seems no one had anything to say about it in terms of reviews. The graphics with suomy seem awesome, but i must say they are SOOOO pricey- but you get what you pay for right? Ventilation good?

 

I'm rockin the Suomy flowers helmet also, I flipping LOVE it!!

 

Shoei gave me the X11 when I got my 600...I LOVE IT!!!! Comfy..ventilated..and of course pink flames :YEAH
