You hanging out with guys who ride? Like on your own bike, doing your own thing. My bf is giving me **** about hanging out with guys but i am the only girl streetbike rider in freakin 100 miles!! lol.. so what does he want me to ride solo and dump it never to be found? Haha.. ANy of u have problems like that?

 

You should can him and get a B/F that has a Bike........then there is no jellous feelings as to what you are doing he would know first hand.....

 

He has two. Lol a gsxr1k for street, and a gsxr6 for stunting, but he is at work half the time. So he should understand the whole riding thing... I mean i have my own bike its not like im rubbin my stuff all over some guys back lol

 

Considering that my man is 1300+ miles away right now, he has never mentioned any concerns to me but then again there are a few girls that ride too. I don't see why he would get all pissy about it, you are being safe and riding with someone instead of riding alone. I think this has a lot to do with trust (as stupid as this might sound) if he trusts you and he knows that you are coming home to him at nite I don't see where the problem is. I trust my man 110%, he can ride with whoever he wants, hell he can even go out with a girl to a bar, I know who he is going to call when he gets home (and come visit 1300 miles away).

 

Been there completely. I was dating a guy who did not ride, he was completely upset everytime I would go ride because I was always with a bunch of guys. I told him to find me a few girls in the area that knew how to ride and how to ride well and I'd ride with them. Well that never happened. And now I'm single, but for more reasons than just that, that was only part of it.

 

hahah yeah .. same EXACT thing broke up a 2 yr realationship last summer ...

 

My girll had a problem with me always being out on the bike and not spending time with her. Yeah she got a little jealous but I would not break up with her. I'd get pissed, she didn't understand, so on and so on. We made a comprimise and everything has been fine since.

Seems a little harsh to me to break up.

 

i was with my ex for 3 1/2 years and he always had a major problem with me going out riding. I mean he met me on my bike (we both ride) and then once it started to get real serious he would pitch a fit. In the winter time i was hanging out with some riding buddies and screamed at me that it was winter, you can't ride what are you doing with them. Every time i went out riding he would grill me on if any guys were with me etc. To be honest i am glad that we are through. Insecurity and jealousy will ruin even the best of relationships, and if you think it is bad now, it only gets worst. i know how you feel about being the only female rider, heck every thing i do i am usually the only female, he left me because i was going to be deployed and thought that since there are way more men in the army and being overseas for a year that he couldn't trust me. do what you want with your man, but i am so much happier now that i am with out him and all the B.S he would pull.

 

Same story here I'm the only female in a 50 mile radious so it's all the guys for me. My boyfriend doesn't care though. He said if I can keep up I can come out. I ride with some of his friends when he's out stunting the parking lots. Some of his friends even call me to go out and there is never really a problem. We've been together for 6 years and I think the trust is just there.

I do get annoyed at the groupies that hang out when there stunting because they have no respect for the fact that some of these guys are taken. As long as they can jump on the back of the bike they'll bang ya and it's annoying! I don't get annoyed and my man because he ignores them but when my guy friends f the tools and then I have to hang out with them for a couple weeks until a new one comes along god it's annoying!

 

hahah i know exactly what you mean with the groupies... they are more than annoying.

 

i HAD that problem, it was resolved in december....

 

+1 my bf is the same way, I'm only 19 and we've been together for almost 2 years, he met me on a bike and now that hes sold his and only rides a track bike I can never go out and ride my bike. He doesn't like the guys I ride with so I started just riding with my gf's and he doesn't like them either... I'm young, I wanna have fun. And he totally ruined my Bike Week, he took the whole week off work and stayed at my house, so what was I supposed to do take off riding around Daytona with my gf's and just leave him at my house?? My mom of all people was telling me to go out riding for Bike Week and leave him, I mean yeah she likes him, but she wants me to have a life and she thinks I'm wasting my time waiting on him. A couple of times I've contemplated breaking it off with him and doing my own thing, but I love him a lot and I'm not going to let something as silly as a bike, as much as I love my little 6, get in the way. Its either meant to be or its not, I can only bend over backwards so far...

 

my parents felt the same way, they liked him but saw that i put up with way too much crap. We had way more issues than just the bike, but i gave up almost all of my friends for him (lol he hated my g/fs too), moved to NJ, and even sent my cat home to live with my parents since he was allergic. Just be careful and don't let him make you give up your friends because he doesn't like them. I would have gone out riding and told him to go hang out with is friends. Best of luck to you and i hope you guys can find a way to make things work, but not so it's just you doing all the compromising.

yeah i live about 1 1/2 hours from philly. if it weren't for 206 being such a crappy road it would take me about 1/2 that time. definately let me know, i'll come down.

It's cool, i was just messin with you cause of your saying under your avatar. I've ridden R6's before. I don't let just anyone ride my streetbike either. The stuntbike on the other hand, go right ahead, LOL. We're definately gonna be riding this weekend, not sure how much street though, have to see what the temp is gonna be. I think in the 40's, might still be too cold for street.

oh and 206 is a **** road, i know when we go up to N.Jerz we try to avoid it, there has to be a quicker way!

 

lol the R6 got sold and i have an R1 now. i know for part of this weekend i will be in scranton with some riding buddies out there. this is my second weekend back after 6 months away with the army and i'm trying to catch up with my friends that i left behind.

my bf's name is justin, he works with bob @ blackmans (actually just started) but i've known him for about 4 years (kinda dated on and off idk) and i knew him before i even got into bikes. BUT we started to "officially date" this winter and i fell in love with bikes over the summer lol. ali, where exactly are you from? Because im between stroudsburg and philly lol..... scraton, however is a good 1.5 hours from here. maybe 1 by bike lol.

 

lol yeah scranton is about 1 1/2 hours from me too. i live up in Budd lake NJ, it is pretty much right along I-80. Stroudsburg is pretty close to me, about 25-30 minutes away.
