well im thinking about getting some sleeves...maybe not full sleeves because of my govt. job, but 1/2 or 1/4...leaning towards halves...

ive got a couple ideas but it seems like its following what everyone has already done...first idea was angels on one arm, and demons and devils on another..conscience(sp?)
another i thought about was kinda like graffiti....brick background with graffiti on top.

also, how much can tattoos run? i know sleeves are expensive but its not a big deal. since my arms arent "ripped" like they will be in 6-12 mo. will it have an affect the tattoo any?

I wanna get full sleeves too..they rawk.........but im broke .....So, i've had one tat on my right arm done dat nearly covers my whole upper arm...Ima do one by one till my arms are covered....take ur time and put some thought into what you really want....cus remember theres no eraser on the other side of the needle......

 

be original and do what you like, there are a million different ways to ink out a demon or an angel,,,do some image searches on line or at a book store...but as for graffitti goes--new skewl tats are cool...you can actually mix some old school demon faces and put a new school edge to them via colors, layout, size and expressions....

as for money, money don't matter, the quality does,,,,best thing is to go around local shops, ask to see their books...all the artist will have pics of work they have done....when one of them really really impresses you, then start talking to him/her about what you want.

 

ill do some work for a stunter or fiddy...im in Louisville Ky.

Do lots of research and dont just walk into a place, pick something off the wall, and have the artist make money from just copying an image.
Do a search for my name and you will see what I am talking about.
I have a, or at least what I would consider, a 1/2 sleeve and all I did was find an artist that was willing to do all of the design.
I walked in and told him I want a dragon. After talking with the artist for a couple of days, he came back with the design I now have.
If you are willing to take the time, most artists will cut you a break when it comes to the price.
Also, especially with a large tattoo, get as much done at one time as possible.
For 2 reasons, first it is fresh in the artist mind and that is when he will do the best work. And second, most artist would rather spend the time on one masterpiece then on 4-5 flash images off the wall.

the money wont really be too bad of a problem...ive got a good job. it just sucks that its a govt job. i was just telling my mom about it and she was like nah, it wouldnt matter out there...u could have tattoos covering ur *** and get the job done and they could care less whether or not it looks professional. ill do a google search...maybe ill come up with some good ideas. thanks guys! keep postin stuff.

 

i'm workin on my sleeve on my left arm and i have almost all of it done,except for one more main piece,it's gonna be around 2g by the time it's done,but oh well it's only money.

I have a Gov. job and have one full sleeve on my left arm and a half sleeve on my right. Back of my neck is tattoed also. I have had no problems with my bosses as long as they are covered when certain ****** , oh sorry, I mean people are around. Really take your time and think out something original. I good tattoo artist will take his time and construct YOUR ideas on paper first. I plan on getting more work done on my left sleeve and completing my right sleeve. I just can't fückin stop! :YEAH My girl has two half sleeves, full back, neck, and ankle. She is just as hooked as me.

 

i heart girls with sleeves. they make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

edit: what about stretching? ive began working out, and i was wondering, if i get the tats while im working out and getting my arms more toned, will it affect the tat if i get it while working out? then over time will it stretch or nething?

 

yes..the tattoo's stretch w/ your skin, and distort too, but not realy enough to worry about

well that, and what the fk i wanna put on my arms lol.

 

i got a dragon on my left side and now im growing a little gut, so know my dragon just has a fatter tail still looks good though.

im going to get full sleeves too pretty soon, i just need to get paid a little more before i attempt anything like that. im going to cover my back & chest first though.

 

i'm working on a full sleeve and so far i have spent like 1200 and i have 4 more sessions before it is finished

thats pretty fkin sweet dude. i like that dragons face. i prolly tho...will end up getting black and grey. its not a lot of color..but i love how it looks.
