Made them...all you need is; a Drill bit (capable of going through metal), Bolt and Nut(I choose the thicker 7/16th), BMX freestyle pegs(Found at Wal-Mart or any other store), and a regular frame slider(needs to have an "Extended Shaft"). In my case I would need 2 of the left frame sliders for my bike.

I also had to sand down part of the frame to make it a level surface...just used a 5" sander with 40 grit sand paper.

If you have the funds though I would certainly recommend Tims Barnes sliders. They have been crash tested and look good as they have been designed specifically for that make/model.

That looks like a good idea Jimmy. I've had the extended sliders on my bike for a little while now, and after a "few" 12 o'clock crashes, both of my motor mounts are bent, one is cracked, and the case is also cracked. The extra leverage from the long sliders can **** stuff up.

A lot of the problem is also that the metal doesn't give like a polyeurothane slider would. The point of a slider is to absorb all the impact.

You might as well just go to a machine shop and have them make you something out of delrin. Give them some specs, or let them measure using your current (or old sliders) and have them do it up. It shouldn't cost much. The hardest part would be finding an appropriately length/thread bolt.

,,..I thought about making some the same way, but I just bought a crash cage from Tim instead. Patrick,Tim,and alot of the ither pro's in the country are running them. For info, contact Tim Barnes@ Freestyle Ingenuity.com or @ PointofBalance.com. The cages are $250.00 or you can just buy sliders for $100.00. ....Keith

These are BY FAR the best sliders, case cover protectors, clip on protectors, lever protectors...........nothing can break even if it wants too. Can't wait til I can afford to get some of those for my R6

AWESOME!
