More bad news with Lakeland Dragstrip...
Not sure how or if this will affect us, but it is certainly not going to help things out. R.I.P to the Dragracer that passed away this weekend.

LAKELAND -- A motorcyclist was killed Sunday when he lost control of his bike at 75 mph during a race at the Lakeland Drag Strip, the Polk County Sheriff's Office reported.
Ramon Jimenez, 35, of Kissimmee crashed into a wall and was thrown nearly 100 feet, said Sheriff's Sgt. Lloyd Stewart. Jimenez died from head injuries at the scene.
The crash occurred about 11:20 a.m. at the eighth-of-a-mile track in North Lakeland, located at 8100 State Road 33.
Jimenez, who had raced several times earlier Sunday at the legal event, was on the left side of the track in the race against a second motorcyclist, Stewart said.
When he attempted to shift gears during the race, his front wheel popped into the air, causing him to lose control of the The Suzuki slid to the left side of the track, crashed into a retaining wall and split into two parts, Lloyd said.
Jimenez, who was wearing a helmet, was thrown from the bike when it crashed into the wall, Lloyd said.
The second motorcyclist was unaware of the crash until he finished the race, Lloyd said.
Relatives of Jimenez were on hand to see him race, Lloyd said.
