Blue,
I'm the redline webmaster and I just want to say your work is very nice and one more thing.
...Maybe you could do mine? I'll have $145 soon and I need my offroad helmet airbrushed black and then in red letters R P M somewhere on it. Plain and simple then with that gloss finish most helmets have when their new and haven't been spray painted to match a new ATV.

It varies greatly depending on how complicated the design is, how many layers I will have to intercoat clear, the condition of the helmet ( if I have to take out any nicks, scratches, scrapes, or remove decals that underneith a clearcoat etc. ), the type of paint used...some paints cost $20 for a pint and some cost more, like House of Kolor for example. So you can see how the price can vary quite a bit, but to give you an idea, most of the helmets I have painted have run between 200 and 400.
You know, I have checked into some other artists that airbrush helmets and most I have seen wont even give me a ballpark on a price. I dont know what their deal is. I do know that there was a time in the begining where I had to take my helmets to a paint shop to have it cleared cause I didnt have the equipmet to do it myself. They charged me 50 per helmet for them to work for 15 minutes. So lookin at that I think my price is pretty damn good! I put alot of effort into what I paint. I have put over 15 hours into Bryon's helmet, I clear between artwork to seal it in so I doesnt get messed up and waste all the time put into it. His helmet currently has 6 coats of clear over that flag, and I'm not
done! I think that answers your question. The better idea I have of what you want, the more accurate the quote

Dayummmmm
Just seen the helmet in person today all can say is
. The pictures posted does not even do it justice, after you see it in person. I can't wait to see my bike during and after. Blue designed my design and it is just what I was lookin' for. I probably was his worst person to design for because I didn't know what I wanted but he stayed at the drawing board till something caught my eye. and now we are ready to go

Done!
Done on time
and even better, I think he likes it
This has probably been the most work I have done on a helmet and I am very happy with the results. Good job, go me, a little pat on da back and that's a wrap. Thanks for all the great comments from everyone. I really appreciate it.
Instead of posting a bunch of pics I'll give ya a link to a page on my site where you can see the finished helmet. and yes, I know one of the vents is missing. HJC didn't send all the pieces when Redneck ordered new vents. Anyway... here it is....

Bryon's Helmet
That's just plain SICK! I can't believe the attention to detail involved on that helmet. I can't wait to see what you do with Laura's bike. Hopefully I will be bringing you a bike to paint in the next few months
