Rocke on!!! Niner loaned me a cover last night. I buttoned up some of the wiring, changed the plugs and I should be all set. Now if the damn snow would go away I could fricken ride.

 

Heres a tip, look for spare parts on Ebay. When you can get covers for less than $30 shipped, buy them.

Anyone know which vent tube you disconnect to stop oil from going into the air box?? Changed the air filter and plugs yesterday too and both were completely caked in oil. Pretty funny, the new air filter was pretty much yellow in color and the old one was just black.

 

the one that goes to the crank case. I have a .pdf of the repair manual.

 

Okay, so the one in the back of the air box. One goes to the valve cover and one to the case. Do people just unhook it or do you need to put an external filter on it or what?

I think that both could cause oil to get in your air box. The "right" way to do it is to install PCV valves. Personally I would just run the hoses do if oil runs out it doesn't hit anything hot and put a filter on the end. If you somehow get negative crankcase pressure that will keep **** for getting in the engine.
