Derek, i got the confidence/boredom today to wind my stator and add lights, and was wondering what kind of regulators or rectifier are you using? and bout what's the cost

i ended up using like 28awg speaker wire, but i did 130 turns instead of 65 to try and compensate. i can easily make ~50 volts A/C when revved, but the problem is my rectifier from the kawi..is lettin 20+ D/C volts through when reved way up. it didn't blow the turn signal bulb i used to test it , but was wondering if this was normal?

anyway, any thoughts would be helpfull, but i'mma stick a halogen on it tomorow and see what happens either way.

 

I using a voltage regulator from Moose called the "Volt Pack" should be about $15 from the dealer..

To be honest I have no clue on the read outs. Never even tested mine lol. I just put it together and plugged it up..

If it didnt blow the turn signal you might be ok. When the bike is at idle its pushing alot less power, when rev'd at all it should livin up and be consistant. At what exact levels I am not real sure.. PM Fab5Fiddy he prolly knows the readouts..

 

cool, i figured it'd prolly be OK, i'll just plug it up and see after i get a foglight from the auto parts store tomorow. i'll let ya know how it turns out after getting it mounted and tested in teh morning.
