Re: CRF450R Handbrake
im not sure but im curious be cause im switching to a crf250.....i thought companies were coming out with an adapter your your rear master as you know it had a built in reservoir so the only thing I can think of is if they integrate and adapter into the top cover...I may look into running an older Yamaha rear master on the Honda and using the self tapping full throttle adaptor where the res. line goes into the back of the master....let me know what you find out...

Re: CRF450R Handbrake
r1 master, i think i need a better master. it works ok but i need to pull hard. 50" brake line. the line was a little long but thats ok. 3/4 inch aluminum. i think 1/2 will be fine. and i had the fluid hole viewer welded shut cause it couldnt hold the pressure and popped off. tools i used was a grinder, drill press, and of course the tap. hope this helps

Re: CRF450R Handbrake
yeah that looks complecated and home made (no offense) when i get my honda set up im going older yz250f rear master and the full throttle adapter, ill prolly take mine right off my current bike and just get a used one to go back on the old motard

Re: CRF450R Handbrake
looks good enough for me, if i ever find time then ill probably just make something work.... hows the rear brake working with the motard wheels on it? Maybe im just in need of bleeding it some more

Re: CRF450R Handbrake
yup its definatly home made. cant expect to much from a grinder and a drill. i tink the master sucks or somthing its got rash on it and came off a crashed bike so that may be why. it works fine for doing seat standers in first gaer. i havent tried it going any faster but im sure it will work fine.

Re: CRF450R Handbrake
lower gearing will help alot but no matter how low you will still need to use alot of clutch, i was a stock front/54 rear on my yz250f motard and it seemed too tall for circles then I went stock front/60 and it helped but I still slip the clutch almost the whole time im circling (che lower gearing change didnt really help)...im thinking about going back to a 53 so I can get more speed to do longer coasters...and again I have an older bike that doesnt lug well and when it cuts out it will sling shot you...so for safety im forced to use alot of clutch...im in the process of getting a much newer/fresher bike so I can see what the difference will be.
