Motards and the gyroscopic effect
Ever ridden a long wheelie and found out that when the front wheel stopped turing the bike got alot harder to control? I started out riding long distance wheelies and found this out, I have since graduated to stunt riding. For anyone having trouble riding controlled wheelies on a motard try this. Push your front brake caliper in (hard) to collapse the pistons into the caliper body, then re-set the caliper so the brake pads dont touch the rotor. This will help the front tire spin longer which means you can ride better wheelies longer. I have since learned to control the bike without the front tire spinning, but a spinning front wheel is still a big help. Its almost like having invisible training wheels, which seem fall off when the wheel stops spinning.

Re: Motards and the gyroscopic effect
i used to feel it ALOT in circles, with the tire spinning the the bars angled, the bike wanted to fall in ALOT more.
altohught it's not THAT big of an effect, can easily be overcome with bodyweight.

Re: Motards and the gyroscopic effect
As far as I know its not really an issue with streetbikes. But on larger dirtbikes it makes a difference. Im not sure on the effect of small dirtbikes either.
