yzf250 vs wr250 pros/cons help

im looking for a 250 to motard im pretty stuck on yamaha ... its going to be an every now and then street cruiser / racer

im just wondering if someone can tell me pros and cons of gettin one of the other

wr:
has headlight / taillight
stator
I hear it has bigger radiator for stop and go

yzf:
no headlight taillight
does it have a stator ?
smaller radiator ?

are the motors the same ?
gearing different ?

I see alot of deals on yzf but can never find a wr

is it worth it ?

GREG....do some fkin research homo !

WR and YZF have same motor...diff cams if anything. Diff trans (taller gears).

I dont think the YZF has a stator due to it not having to power a light of any sort.

Bigger rad for sure on the WR....atleast i think so. just go to the yamaha website and compare them u homo !

i did it for you...

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/pr...1/compare.aspx

you can see the major differences in them. nothing too different though honestly...just suspension travel and trans is all i could spot.

Re: yzf250 vs wr250 pros/cons help

I'd go with the wr the gearing is better for street use and the radiator would come in handy.
I rode an 06 wr450f that thing is sweet!
